Yea I know I know, not really much people would use it, probably not even read the post of the mod, but oh well, this is just my idea.

So gonna to change some ideas, what I want is not only a mech, but also some kind of powersuit. I mean small, speedy mech, like a powersuit. Of course there's a powersuit mod, but what I want is you can sit on it, not wearing it.
What's in this mod:
Part A - Blocks
(Functional Blocks for building mech in Part D)
1. Mech Builder
Basically, you build mech with it. Small area for you to place blocks to build a small mech.
2. Plug
A tiny plug, just like the size buildcraft pipe plugs is. Allows you to charge your batteries inside your mech, or just right click to open the UI, put batteries in and it will charge up automaticly. Creative Version doesn't need power, survival (Normal) plug need RF / EU / Whatever.
3. Energy Cube
Just in case if you don't have any energy storage(Like you have extra utilities, but don't have thermal expansion). Also can be link to a mech for wireless power.
4. Large Mech Builder
More Advanced, can build mech, large mech. Around 3 times the mech building area of the smaller version.
5. Mech Part Copier
Using this block, you can make your own part, with copies! Put a template, save your part, put the template into the mech builder.
6. Large Mech Part Copier
Simply just a bigger area than the mech part copier, like large mech builder. Function are the same.
Part B - Items
(Any crafting components goes to Part E)
1. Blank Template
For saving your part in mech part copiers.
2. Template
Just retexture the blank one and have data inside. (That means it is the product of saving parts)
3. Energy Linker
Want a wireless energy source for your mech? Link your Energy Cube to your mech using Energy Linker!
4. Bullets
In case if you don't want to use blocks as bullets. Notice that bullets are in item form.
5. Rocket
In case if you don't want to use blaze rod as rocket. Notice that rocket are in item form.
6. Dry Cell
Early-Game Energy Storage, can store ten thousand RF
7. Energy Tablet
Mid-Game Energy Storage, can store four times as many as dry cell does.
8. Black Hole Storage (Energy)
Late-Game Energy Storage, can store eight times as many as Energy Tablet does.
9. Energy Matrix
End-Game Energy Provider, infinite power, unfortunately the energy inside only can use for charging mech...
10. Wooden Box (Items)
Provide a small item storage, which can store 3 kinds of items, with 64 items each.
11. Iron crate (Items)
Can store as much as a normal minecraft chest.
12. Compact Spacial Box (Items / Liquid)
Can store four times as much as double chest, and 4 kinds of liquid with 64,000 mb each.
13. Black Hole Storage (Items / Liquid)
End-Game Energy Storage, only stores one kind of item, but can store 500,000,000 item, useful to store something like cobblestone. similar to DSU from Minefactory Reloaded, but in item form.
Part C - Entity
Most of them is mech entity. If possible, plz use the api "Moving World" by... Who? nah, he's darkevilmac.
Levels at this section is separated in 5 levels: None, Low, Medium, High, Extreme Max Protection and Max Speed means all module slots has used up for Protection or Speed. It also proved that both Max Protection and Max Speed will not be on the same mech. This is some kind of balance, you can't have Max Protection while you have Max Speed, and can't have Max Speed while you have Max Protection.
Power only drains when mech is active. Type A drains power when a module is affecting the player, such as protection, and will continuously drain power when a module is always active, such as speed. Power weapons also drains power. Type D will not drain power unless any activity like attack, using tools, move, etc.
1. Mechs
Type A - Armor
Not really a mech, but it is, in my own opinion.
Normal Protection: Low Max Protection: Extreme
Normal Speed: Medium (As fast as a player with speed 2) Max Speed: Extreme (As fast as a player with speed 10) Tools & Weapons: Only sword Durability: None, damage player directly instead Self Repair: None Power Drain: Low (20 RF/t)
Type B - "Armor with seat"
Smallest mech in the mod, if you don't group the Armor as a mech. Normal Protection: Low Max Protection: High Normal Speed: Medium Max Speed: High Tools & Weapons: Light weapons and tools, All swords. Durability: Low Self Repair: Low, 1 hp per second
Power Drain: Low (25 RF/t)
Type C - "PUM (Professional Utility Mech)"
The best Mech, for tools. Normal Protection: Medium Max Protection: High Normal Speed: Medium Max Speed: Slightly faster than Medium Tools & Weapons: Light & Medium tools, Medium Weapons, All Swords Durability: Medium Self Repair: Medium, 5 hp per second
Power Drain: Medium (40 RF/t)
Type D - "The Tank"
Best protection ever in your life! Normal Protection: High Max Protection: Extreme Normal Speed: Low Max Speed: Medium Tools & Weapons: Medium & Heavy Tools & Weapons, All Swords Durability: High Self Repair: High, 10 hp per second Power Drain: High (100 RF/t)
Type E - "Earth Crusher"
The "Heavy Weapons Guy", Nightmare of earth, nothing can block its way(Except Bedrock). Normal Protection: High Max Protection: Slightly higher than High Normal Speed: Low Max Speed: Low (Extremely small speed increase per module)
Tools & Weapons: Heavy Tools & Weapons, All Swords Durability: Extreme Self Repair: None Power Drain: Extreme (400 RF/t)
Part D - Functional Mech Blocks (WIP)
(I listed weapons just in case you want to see some ideas about that, but I'm not going to use them even though they will become a real thing)
(They take effect only when you place it in the mech builder, and then create the mech. e.g. you construct a machine gun in the mech builder, you need to build the mech first in order to use the gun.)
(All functional blocks need to build in multiblock, I mean 2 blocks together are multiblock too)
2. Rocket Launcher
Explosion Damage, with 2 tiers, can use either blaze rod or rocket as ammo, or use energy rocket which drains energy pretty crazy.

3. Rader
Enemy detector, only 1 tier, but with different modules.

4. Concentrated Railgun
Some kind of sniping weapon, high damage but only affecting maxmium 5*5 blocks. Only drain power.

I'm learning to make mods, but probably not fast enough to catch up with minecraft forge version update, so I'm just LEARNING, and when I feel like I'm good enough to do modding, I do modding.

Thx for that. This mech is in the Minecraft-SMP content pack for flans mod. But what I want is not this, flans mod is kinda war-like. I want my modpack to be Tech + Magic /w little nature and Futuristic, and I'm here to request for futuristic mech.
Edit: Oh ok, the content pack itself is Si-Fi themed... so thx for this, I accept it.
Well I guess a Utility Mecha would be nice to have instead of just Combat Mecha.
Maybe something that can dig fast and place blocks at a further distance.
From your Picture (looks like Nanoha) I take it you're an Anime fan, what kind of styling are you looking for for the Mecha?
Are you looking for a more Sci-fi styled Mecha like the one in this Flans mod, or something more like a Gundam?
Yup I want something like gundam, but no explosion weapon or guns, just melee. Or even utility would work, but not those in the Titan Mech content pack.
Anyway what kind of Utility/Tools are you thinking of and what would they be used for?
Would they just be for battling each other in some kind of melee pvp or would they have other functions.
A Gundam mod would be great but like you said Guns and Explosives could be a problem, they would destroy large parts of the world in minutes if they are anything like the Anime Gundams.
Explosion Weapons are ok, since I'll just ignore them. But the basic concept is come from HAWKEN. Google it if you don't know what it is.

Well, I would definitely like to see this. From the OP, it sounds like Archimedes Ships with Mechs.

Nope, archimedes ships only "move the block". In fact, it's deleting the blocks that is connecting to the palm and relocate them.
