I'm also left handed but I think you really need to just adapt to using your right hand in video games. Thats how I did it.
With all do respect, sir, you are part of the conformed talking like that. No real left handed person should ever think such a thing to be minuet. It may not be the same to you, but the fact they add colorblind mode in but not a left handed mode feels a bit unfair. Color blind people are 8.5% - 10% of the world population. Left handed is about 10% - 15%. For me, being left handed in a right handed world is a disability when it comes to using anything mas-produced like tools, guns, props, etc. But will I let that conform me in video games? The one place I can do what I want in an alternate reality? I have for a while, but I can't any more, and I shouldn't have to begin with. Nobody should.
Within the medieval era, they murdered anyone who was left handed or burned them at the stake. Then they moved on by just conforming them in school by slapping their left hand/wrist with a ruler/rod. Finally, after many years of that, we were allowed to use the "Devil's hand". We are almost there to being recognized as part of society, but until we have a spot in the gaming industry, I will fight for this. Sure, it is a minuet detail to some. You guys have been wrist slapped by the gaming industry and are conformed and you are "okay with it" and think "just get over it/used to it" but I can't let that slide. People should be able to represent themselves in sandbox games like this. They shouldn't have to "deal with it".
Summery: I will not allow myself to be conformed any longer. It shouldn't HAVE to be this way. It should be equal. It should be fair. I fight for left handed equality. And I will continue doing so to get left handed gamers recognized. And if you want to say "deal with it" then you aren't left handed anymore. Not in the world you represent yourself in. You are as right handed as the rest of the 90%.
