Hi! I would like to have an autosmelting mod for minecraft 1.7 (1.7.2/1.7.10 to be specific)! Yes, I know mods like Twilight Forest, Tinkers Construct, etc. already auto-smelt, but I kinda hate to get 5 less FPS just for a pickaxe. (They add so much I lag pretty bad.)



Anyways, the mod I want pretty much auto-smelts iron and gold (but not stuff like cobble, netherrack, etc- maybe have a config file for it?) and any other ore that needs to be smelted (is there a possibility for there to also be modded ore capabilitiies too?). I would like the mod to respect fortune and silk touch (e.g. drop gold ore when silk touched, drop up to 4 iron ingots when fortuned).



I'm not really worried bout how it works, as long as it's not just adding yet another impossible-to-craft pickaxe to the game. (I'm fine with it being like made of an ore that gets spawned randomly. I just don't want to have to spawn in the blaze rods and whatever else.) I would definitely prefer it to be for all picks, but an enchantment would be fine too



If you can make this mod, kudos to you! I have minimal knowledge of the Java language (I think some minecraft commands are kind of like Java code the way they're set up), but otherwise I would be workin' my rear off trying for this. (That wasn't incentive. If it felt like that, sorry.) As it is I'm working on a texture pack that makes my fave blocks look even cooler which takes up like an hour per texture for me (my coffee maker's that bad).

I can probably make a mod like this. Here is how it would most likely end up working...

You take any default pick that can mine ores (so stone and above) and surround it in a crafting table with coal. That will give you a pick with the same durability, abilities, ect. of whatever material it is made of, but it will also smelt all ores (I am pretty sure I can make it work for modded ores to). It will still respect fortune, silk-touch, enchanting and anvil repair. Unfortunately I do not have the knowledge to make a config files for the specific things it can smelt so it would just be ores, unless there are any other things you want me to add. Before I get started I have a few questions...

1) Does this sound like what you want

2) Are any other things besides ores that you would like auto smelted (if it is just ores it would only be gold and iron, because those are the only ores that drop the actual ore, and hopefully modded ores to)

3) What version of Minecraft do you want it for (I cannot do 1.8.1 or 1.8.3 because Minecraft Forge is not updated to that version, but any other version should be fine, I can also do multiple versions if you like.)

4) Is there anything else you would like me to change.

After we decide on the final details it should not take me very long to make and of course if you decide you want changes made later I can always update it.
