Have you ever been crafting and accidentally done something really stupid and lost tons of resources on an item you won't use? Well in this case an increasing table would be very helpful. It could have comparability with NEI. How on NEI, You can click a button and the ingredients for that item auto arrange themselves, but backwards, so it finds the item you put in and gets the recipe in the products area.
Indeed, the Twilight Forest does already add an Uncrafting Table. Place the item in the left slot, and it displays the components of the first recipe you could have used to make it (some items have multiple recipes, it uses the first one listed in NEI it seems, in the Shaped or Shapeless categories, Shaped first). When you click one of the items, they change from ghostly to solid, and it takes an EXP cost. The table can also be used as a regular crafting table.
Also if the item is damaged, you won't get all the components back. It loses the more valuable parts first. These will have a red background.
