Nevermind the link i sent you, i was streaming it to let you see what was going on with the progress. good progress so far, i set the closed version without any models, and i kinda figured this would get Mojang's attention more if we didn't use a detailed model since even a block that's 2-4 pixels wide will cause some render lag, but only a very small percent of render lag so long as there aren't a ton of them.
So, i guess the mod should be split into 2 mods if you do want the model to be detailed a bit like the original model you made.
I mean no disrespect with this post, but to be quite honest, everything that works in the current version of this mod is my work. The content you've provided towards the current version of this mod has not worked, and I had to do it myself. You have only been able to give some advice, and some ideas for the mod/mod production.
Unless we reach an agreement otherwise, I will post the mod myself as I am the content creator here, and you will be credited for what you've contributed to the released version of the mod.
That being said, it's not a good idea to just assume the power position over a mod. If you want to collaborate on a mod then you need to be able to communicate well with the other persons involved with the creation of the mod; as well ask about the progress, and ask what you can do to help progress the mod especially if you have not done much to help the progress.
This is the first attempt that I've made to do an actual collaboration mod, and I don't plan for it to be my last.
yes that's all i want to learn programming but i don't know what to do and tutorials don't help but yes you can have ownership of the mod just mention credit for me for coming up with the idea! And i apologize for assuming power
Tutorials are not good for learning coding. Unless it's a series, like what TheNewBoston does on YouTube, but there are still a lot of free resources available online. They may even be something locally where you live.
Good news: I've figured out the rendering part, It will be no trouble at all to make the open shutters for me & make them orientation based. Though I might be needing to register 2 blocks, one for open & closed, but you will only have access to one in 1.8 anyways I think.
Hopefully the block bounds work the same way as the rendering.
I will work on it when I get home, and if everything goes well I will post screenshots.
