Omega is a mod which aims to create an immersive adventure for you to progress through. Inspired by the game Skyrim, you will travel across your world, battling dangerous mobs and mysterious bosses, looting dungeons and villages, ultimately leading up to completing a somewhat extensive quest line.
Omega will ultimately add in as much content as possible for you to explore and enjoy. Whether it be by exploring tons of generated structures, traversing the lands in search of new mobs, or even jumping into new worlds for you to conquer.
As of now, this is just an idea. I cannot create a mod that I want to play with because nobody would play it. I need your help, and your ideas to make this a pretty decent mod. I can code, just check out my work, but I want to see what else I can add to this.

Backstory
All you remember was falling into a dark abyss after some creature knocked you off, sending you into a screaming fall of terror. What was that place? How’d you get there? More importantly, where are you now?
The objective of the mod is to recover the five artifacts: Eclipse, Nova, Mythic, Inheritance, and Omega.
Thousands of years ago, the Founders created five powerful artifacts for them to use, but after the War of the Undead, all five of the artifacts were scattered throughout the world. Each artifact has its own, unique abilities for the wearer to use.
The current locations of the artifacts are unknown; however we have a grasp of where they are located. We know that the Ender Dragon holds one, the Undead have one, and one is held in the Nether, but other than that, we have no clue where they are. It’s your job to find them.
However finding them won’t be easy. You’ll have to traverse the lands of the Overworld searching for clues as to where the artifacts are located. You’ll have to battle tough bosses and mobs to obtain secret items which may tell you where one is located. You may even have to enter the Underworld, a place full of dark creatures and beings.
Mod Ideas
Overworld
In the Overworld, a lot of new structures will be generated, such as new Villages, towers, dungeons, and even more.
Abandoned Villages -- Fairly rare; good loot.
Towers (All Biomes) -- Common; ok loot.
Easy Mob Dungeon -- Common; ok loot.
Hard Mob Dungeon -- Common-Rare; good loot.
Boss Dungeon -- Rare; great loot.
Random Chests -- Randomly spawning chest. Common; good loot.
Plus specific mob dungeons, and specific structures!
You can also find a new ore: Titanium (rarer than Diamond)! You can use titanium for tools / armor. Combining Titanium and Iron will produce Steel!
Besides world generation features, new mobs will spawn as well.
Mummy -- Spawns in deserts on full moons; drops Gold Ingots, Lapis and Paper.
Valkyrie -- Spawns in tree biomes; drops undefined.
Golem -- Spawns in rocky biomes; drops undefined.
Goblin -- Spawns underground; drops undefined.
Barbarian -- Spawns in all biomes; drops undefined.
Snow Blaze -- Spawns in snowy biomes, and shoots snowballs instead; drops undefined.
Nether
The Nether also introduces a few new structure gens.
Nether Tower -- Common; good loot
Nether Village -- Common; good loot.
Nether Hut -- Rare / Blends in; great loot.
The Nether also holds a few more mobs:
Red Spider -- Nether version of a spider. Lights you on fire.
The End
I think the Ender Dragon has one of the artifacts. Why? Try living there.
If you get lucky, you’ll get one of these two structures. If you are really lucky, you might get both:
Small Ender Village -- Extremely rare; amazing loot.
Ender Hut -- Rare; great loot.
That’s not all. Check these new mobs out:
Ender Queen -- Queen of the Endermen
Shade -- Is that a ghost?
The Underworld
You might die a few times. Better get some top notch gear (hah, get the pun).
The Underworld is a dark dimension, somewhat like the place below the Nether. Lava is the only light source, and there is barely any of that. It is primarily made up of Abyss Stone, with volcanoes and void holes scattered throughout. There is an Abyss Village, which contains some mighty fine loot. There is also the Abyss Castle. Only one spawns per world, and is the big daddy when it comes to dungeons. If you can sneak one of the swords spawning there, you should be set.
I'm fresh out of ideas. What are yours? What would you like to see in an RPG mod?
Your first paragraph pretty much defines my mod. Only it's inspired by a lot of games, not just Skyrim.
It's off to a slow start since I've spent most of my time making mobs (which I'm not very good at), but it aims to do what you described in the dungeons/loot/quests/etc aspects.

Yeah. My aim for this was to create something that other RPG mods don't have: An extensive quest line with an over arching goal. It's somewhat like a game, inside of a game.
I've started setting up the basics for the mod (code wise). If you have any ideas, that would be great as that is what I need the most: more ideas!
Also, if anyone would be willing to help out with textures / models, that would be awesome. I have one person already, but am not sure if he will be able to put a lot of time into this.
Hmh. Just saying, you guys could try to add stuff that combined with Custom NPCs would allow for massive quests. I dunno. Traps, items...
Yeah I love Custom NPCs and I think it's a must if you want to do a skyrim game x3 It would also save you guys a nice piece of work.
But I guess that your aim is for the mod to work by itself: You open a world and it's all ready for you to play.
That's how I plan for it to work. There will be custom generated structures (villages, houses, etc.) in which I could add NPC's too.
There was also the idea of using a quest type of mod (Hardcore Questing Mode for example), to where if you wanted to play with quests, you could download that "pack" instead.
The overall aim is unknown right now, so what would you all like to see in this kind of mod?
I would like to see stuff to couple with custom npcs. As that mod is focusedo n the npcs themselves, it'd be nice to have a mod that allows for drawbridges, castle grates, medieval house stuff...
Stuff to fill what's left of the mod, you know? Would be cool for multiplayer too. Imagine having an epic way to your epic caste of epicness and neverending fireworks! w00t

There are already mods out there for draw gates and such (I think it is a Tinker's Construct Addon, but I may be wrong).
Do you have any ideas for specific NPC's / where they should spawn?
Structure spawning system. Maybe with blocks that spawn the npcs and erase themselves after spawning?
And Tinker Construct's got drawbridges, but I mean more than just htat. I don't want 12 mods just to get the bits that I want
I know how you feel, but as a developer, if a mod already exists, you don't need to make another one exactly the same. Maybe you get what I'm saying, maybe not. Who knows, someone may be making that now, or I may even in the future.
Yeah, but as a map maker, what annoys me is having to download 10 mods, 30 MBs of space, just to use 7 blocks and features.
It can affect the player with crafting, undesired mechanics, extra loading time (this one, yes or yes)...
A good example is thaumcraft (I think). It has creative chests and such that allows you to pull out infinite amount of items from them, making them useful for constant shooting dispensers and such.
The problem? The rest of the stuff. You don't want it. You want the creative chest. Yeah, you can disable the stuff in the config, but that still leaves a longer loading time (I think). If it was 90 things out of 100 that I use, that'd be ok. But 10 out of 100? "Ugh."

Understandable.
Back to the topic at hand, does anyone have any ideas for this mod? I have been making the basics of the mod, but I mean, the basics. What else would you like to see?
I have a developer build that is somewhat finished. Very basics, no textures (lol). It's not something I'd like to give out but I can give it to you if you want (it isn't anything special ;)).
If anyone is interested in this mod, it be great to drop a comment saying that you are. It is kinda pointless developing a mod nobody is going to play.
Also, I am a developer, not an artist. If anyone could make textures / models that would be much appreciated.

Still, I want to make a skyrim world and toss my friends in. But nobody's gonna play it t.t

In this mod, conquer the Abyss Castle, and live in that (pretty late game however). Otherwise, build it yourself
