The basic idea is survival mode from CoD MW3 with the customization options of Halo Reach firefight.... except in Minecraft! The player would be able to choose from a list of maps or stages to fight waves of monsters. Between waves, the player could go to a marketplace or store to purchase weapons, armor, food, enchantments for items, and even spawn eggs for friendlies. Currency could either be mob drops, a point system based on either mob kills or damage the player has dealt. Or it could be a combination of the two, like the player needs x amount of points or levels before he or she can buy y items with points, xp, or drops. Or, all mobs would have a chance to drop emeralds and the shop is simply customized trades with villagers. There could be several modes, too.
-Apocalypse: The monsters never stop. The player must fight an infinite number of waves until he or she dies.
-Defend the villagers: There are five villagers the player must defend. The player loses either when all five are dead or when he or she dies.
-Basic mode- The player must fight x number of waves of monsters. The game ends when either the player survives all waves or he or she dies.
The player would be able to edit the gamerules and save them. Thus, they wouldn't have to change them from the default settings every time that they played. The player could edit what mobs spawn, how many spawn, and how frequently that they spawn. He or she could also edit what items are for sale and for how much. This way, the player could use mobs and items from other mods. The player can also choose how many waves of mobs there are before victory is claimed.
This would be great for mod makers who don't like making new textures(although they may have to make a few new guis) If anyone is interested in making this mod, let me know. This could have so much potential.
Also forgot to mention, I said 1.6.4, but if it is more convenient or easier, I really don't care what Minecraft version this mod is.
