After a period of absents from the modding community I would like to get back into mod making.
How ever I want to go about this diffrently than I have in the past. Instead of just doing what I like, I would like to get suggestions from the comminuty on what I should make. So here are a few of the things ive done that might be worth restarting, and some new Ideas. Feel free to suggest your own, I would love to hear them.
My Current Ideas
Shur'tual (Based on Eragon Books)
Grid Craft (Based on Tron movies and TV Show)
Infamous SuperPower Mod(Based on the Sony games)
Dragon's Reach (Some sort of Dragon Based Skylands)
Unamed 80's Glowing Syfy Realm (inspired by Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon)
My problem with 4/5 those ideas is that they are based on something else. I would really much rather start with a totaly new idea. Also as you can tell im intrested in doing larger mods.
Infamous because there has not been a mod for that for a VERY long time and i was disappointed that all the other infamous mods were outdated and i would like to see something like that in 1.7.(you may as well start a mod in that version since it is a pain updating from 1.6 to 1.7)of course you would have to make the system to where things aren't too op but that wont be a problem i'm sure. So yeah, INFAMOUS plz!!

Pigs that act like dogs, and attack. Not only do they attack, but they also can be ridden, but that will need to be optimized from what it is in vanilla. I too posted my idea, but no one was nice enough to even peek at it :(, lol. Anyways, basically you would be able to use minecraft's included command block functions (or something new) and it's enchantments/effects, including any added enchantments and effects from mods, to make simple classes and skills. You'd also have the bonus of being able to make a type of worldguard out of it without the use of bukkit. Here's the thread if you're interested.
So I've read over all of the Ideas you guys have submitted and while they are all fairly interesting concepts, I don't think I will be attempting any of them. I actually had a pretty cool idea of a game that mixes elements of Minecraft and the concepts of Notch's unfinished 0x10C. I think I will put most of my energy towards that project instead. I'm planning on making it a Open Source and Free-to-play game if I can get anywhere in the project.
I am looking for a mod that lets you fight the enderdragon again in survival even if you already beat it.

Possibly a mod where you can modify the blocks, like how tall they will be and how long, or a mod where you can live a life of a villager or any other Minecraft mob.
The Hardcore Ender Expansion includes that as a feature.

How about a mod based on Disney's Toontown Online? You know, with trolleys, Cogs, Gags, various other blocks and items based on the game, etc. You could craft Gags from scratch, trade jellybeans for them, or grow them on trees. Cogs could take over villages and turn them into streets lined with Cog Buildings. There could even be neighborhoods or Cog HQs that spawn in the world or a separate dimension.
Here are a few examples of block textures that I made to imitate some of Toontown's aesthetic elements:
most think that creepers are some sort of lizards. but i have found that everything about them even texture, relates to a plant called "peat moss" so creepers in this mod are seen more like plant mobs and only spawn in swamps:SSSS: also if a creeper explodes, a pod is launched in the air and will plant itself, upon impact onto the grass.
this pod will grow into a plant that will ( like apples grow on trees ) grow creepers. these plants also spawn in swamp biomes naturally (mostly in water)
mobs can only spawn on natural blocks. not man made ones such as: cobble, planks, brick etc. (so that they can not spawn in houses, which makes more sense.)
also, upon death by zombie: any mob or player creates a "zombie" that ( if it was a player ) holds all of the players items.the player will need to kill it for it to drop all of the players items
you can find bones in dirt and even find full skeletons in caves
mine both to get bones as well as: skull and rib cage (armor pieces better than chain mail, worse than iron.)
to complete the set, bone leggings (made with bones and work as boots and leggings )
this mod also adds gloves as armor
and mining hats (same as chain meal but with a light)
I had ideas for a sort of alien mob taht invades every so often making the game insane, then they multiply and out strength the player easily. Then they eventually form a base made of blight (a new tipe of block) eventually spreading thoughout the world. the mobs change based on what the orignal mob kills e.g. The mob kills a chicken and its offspring id flying. I hope you can read the paper if you cant send me an email At [email protected] . Of course the player cant be left to his death against an army so i decided that instead of adding npcs that adding drones that move like robotic tanks and flying bombers which the player can use to target the enemy swarm base. As well as a mech. But I thought that starting off and this meteriote spawning is unfair so there should be like a beacon you can craft when your ready which allows it so that the enemy can start spawning. When I get some more images of designs i can post them or send them to you if you would like. Basically this mod would turn the game into a hardcore destruction where hundreds of units out strength you and eventually can destroy you and all youre base and the world. Time for man to fight against the SWARM

the hydralisk is the main alien siege unit as once in touches down on earth he starts to kill and multiply and grow stronger untill eventually he splits. The split unit is based on the other units first kill. E.g. A chicken equals a swarming which can fly and multiply quickly. the hydralisk has many abilities like breathing fireballs and once he's on low enough health he gains more armour.
The base is formed by lots of units being in the vicinity growing in the epicentre. You see if the hydralisk multiplied into a swarming there is no way back. But at the main base every now and then as the base grows and evolves causing new hydralisk so to spawn.
mini bosses i thought could be caused once a swarming unit or another unit reaches 100 generations it turns into a mini boss
which wrecks havoc and has a natural call for swarm longs to follow him ( or her) into battle as it hunts down the player to there base.
the other descriptions are below for the two other creatures i have thought of.
