I would like to introduce a new idea for a mod that adds features to the server list menu on minecraft. After about a year of playing minecraft, I have a ton of servers that were collected here and there. I realized my server list was getting cramped up, mixed with my friends' servers and public servers. I found myself wishing for a mod that could add the option to create folders and tags and categories for me to organize my server list. Now having very little knowledge of coding, I couldn't do this myself. Which brought me here, to help bring my first world problem to the minecraft community.

Some features I would like to see in this(hopefully) future mod:

Ability to create folders you can name(possibly color code)
Ability to add descriptions of the servers you can access easily
Universal across all your minecraft profiles
Ability to add tags to the servers(or that could be part of the description feature)
Ability to make backups of your server list


So far this all I can think of of what people might find helpful. I really do hope this mod is possible and if there's already a mod like this for the current minecraft version, please let me know.

I would love it, but I'd want a mod where setting up a server is easier.

That wouldn't really be a mod, that would be an external program. Servers do not run within the game, so a mod cannot influence it. Plus, that does not really relate to this thread.

But isn't he saying a MOD that kinda makes servers easier idea like I shared my idea. This is from requests/ideas for mods.And what the heck is an external?
