I am not sure if this is where I put this. Anyways, I will make minecraft mods to your specifications free of charge unless it is very time consuming. Almost anything you can think of. Want a mod but don't want to learn how to make one? That is why I am here!
Make a drug mod that adds mor than just weed. Make them have there own effects and add a drug dealer that has a super rare chance of spawning in a village
I asked a few people for these but I'd like your thought
Discworld-like edge of the world
I have been trying to work on a disc world, making finite worlds but to which you can see the edges, sharp and flat as the world was thought to be. People could still build on the edges but it would largely help with stopping word generation.
The result on a one-map scale looks like this for the moment and I am looking for a better modder to work on it.
(Outside of the rim are mineshafts that continued to grow)
Of course the size of the worlds would have to be customizable.
Automatic map filling There always has been something with those silly maps. I'd like it if I could just go around and do my normal things like killing cows and running into creepers without having to traverse the world with a map in my hands so it can fill itself.
Regions: Names for specific biomes
I would like to name-tag, as for animals, specific biomes. This can give a feel to the world you are whether you play solo or multiplayer. A whole ocean could be called the Pacific, a swamp Rome, a forest Riverdale, mountains The Dwarfs', etc.
Realistic stone: The deeper it is located, the harder it is to mine it
I think that the fact that stone is relatively easy to mine is a bad thing for exploration and adventure. Looking for diamond? Dig more or less straight down to almost bedrock, and then make tunnels in hope to find it. Not much risk. Not exciting. This is way too easy. This is not minecraft.
Why not make it that the lower a stone is on the Y-axis, the longer it takes to mine it? That, or it breaks down the pickaxe more easily. Whichever is easier to code / better for user experience.
This small change would sound like an annoyance, but by forcing people to go through caves, the adrenaline of the risk to encounter funny folks is higher. So the choice would be less clear between breaking down slowly the rock, or risking your (minecraft) life in caves and mine shafts.
Yeah that's about it, please let me know which you might be interested Thanks a lot!
Funny that the last post was also about limiting world generation, I have posted a mod idea regarding this as well. It is a looping/wrapping world concept which can be found on here:
Make a drug mod that adds mor than just weed. Make them have there own effects and add a drug dealer that has a super rare chance of spawning in a village
This has already been done before but I don't remember the name of it. And I don't want to do anything like that.

the part about the stone becoming harder to mine the deeper it gets would just be a bit of math so that could be very easy. {could do}
naming biomes most likely is possible but that would require VERY advanced math that I don't know. {nope}
the automatic map filling is probably easy but I would have to scour through a lot of code to find out. {maybe}
I don't really know what you mean by "discworlds". {explain in better terms please}

I think one you could use is called "Magic Mushrooms Mod"
OK I have kind of put this is my own mod idea at one time. I was told at one time that NEI did this but I don't use Not Enough Items. The idea is a written book mod. I think this mod might be fairly easy but may take a bit of time to do all the writing. The idea is that there are books scattered all over the world. They could be found in dungeon chest, in villages and even in temples. (or even randomly spawned chest though out the world or many other ways you could think of).
Some of these books could hold neat little stories, or they could be journals, things about minecraft history, or some could be small cook books for minecraft. NOW here is the big part of the mod EVERY crafting recipe in the game can be found in these books. (along with recipes for other mods)
list of mod that could be added
HarvestCraft
Metallurgy
simpleores
BobGarys growable ores
iron chests
utility mobs
better archery
MoCreatures
These are just some of the mod I use that have there own recipes.
I think this would be a nice little mod that would give people a reason to go out exploring.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I am not a coder or texture maker. I am just your average minecrafter with my own ideas on how to improve my own minecraft experience and maybe others (if they like them) as well.
Hey! I'd really like you to make a mod for me if you're willing to.
Here's what I would need: a very simple mod that I can use on a Hardcore server. When a player dies, it would ban them normally using the "banned-players.txt" file, but instead of banning them forever, it would temporarily ban them for let's say 15 min. (The banned timer could be in a separate config file if possible.) It would also automatically remove the "player_name.dat" from every directory in the server so the player can respawn normally.
Do you think it's easy to do / feasible? I checked a lot of plugins but none of them worked with hardcore mode enabled.
I have an idea for a mod that would be easy to do I think. The basic idea for the mod would be to enable the player to configure the amount of items crafted or the amount of drops a mob gives you. For example. 1 log gives you 4 planks and 2 planks gives you 4 sticks. With this mod you could change it so that 1 log would give you any specific amount of planks you wanted and the same with the planks giving you 4 sticks, you just change it to suit your tastes. The idea behind this is to either make the game super hard by limiting the amount of resources you get or make the game super easy by giving yourself extra resources. It would probably be a big mod in that you would have to go and change the amount of everything that minecraft gives you. Let me know if this is something you would consider or are able to do, You could call it The Resourceful mod.Thank you.

Cool, I'd like to see the stone one being added to other harder-survival mod if you can discuss with one.
By disc world, I mean a finite world which, instead of looping/warping as other requesters ask (get far enough and you come back to the beginning), would be similar to what people thought of the earth: flat and round shaped. I have already worked around some of the coding but I don't know how to make the size [radius] customizable, I could send you a message with the code I used if you are interested.

Possible but I have no clue how to do that, and it would be made in the form of a plugin not a mod. I don't do plugins yet.

Possible but requires techniques that I don't know. The most I could do is change the output rather than make it choosable.

Can you make a mod that records movement? Like for example, I hate harvesting my farm in SMP Servers,
so I record my self doing so, I go to the same spot, press play, and it plays my recording harvesting the farm!
It can be considered cheating, but not really, it's just a really cool mod idea.
make a car mod or a mech mod its a bit time consuming i dont know how to texture or make 3d models but i know a 3d model app that might just help http://techne.zeux.me/Techne

I have two:
Hunger Mod:
Everyone knows that in minecraft the zombies and skeletons want to kill you, and creepers wanna creep. But why? This mod gives them a reason. Well, more like a drive. For a while now the player has had a hunger bar. But not the other mobs? This mod will add a hunger bar for every over-world mob (except the endermen). So zombies will have a reason to kill you. But this will also effect the animals. Pigs, cats, sheep, cows etc. will all have hunger bars. So they will eat the grass to fill that bar and if there is no more, they find more. Animals having hunger bars will also effect animal farms. Now if you don't feed them or let them out to feed then they will die. There are some good things about this mod though. This will help with despawns as if a mob is starving it will die and therefore not need to despawn.
Spider nest mod:
this isn't my idea but I've seen it somewhere else and I liked it so much I have to see it come to life, (Sorry I don't know whose idea this is) So during the night spiders come out and do their thing. But during the day they go to nests in caves trees etc. There will be little caverns and short holes in mountains and in the ground covered with webs. In the back of the nest will be a web bundle (which acts like a chest but is looks like a bundle of webs[ crafted with a chest and webs, spawns in spider nests]) Spider spawners will occasionally be in the nest along with three to five spiders. The main nest locations are: in short caverns (mountain nest), 10 block deep holes in the ground (spider pits), tree nests (tree web), covering forests (forest of webs) and tunnels usually in abandoned mineshafts (webbed catacombs) A queen spider will spawn at the center of the forest of webs and the webbed catacombs. The queen spider is just a really big spider with a bunch of drops.

PLEEZ do these, it would be so awesome of you
would love to do the spider thing but both would require some knowledge of editing existing mobs, of which I have none
Is it possible for you to create a mod that turns someone into a robot with the following attributes?
-Takes lava level damage from water
-slight bonus to health, or slight armor bonus (not both)
-Can only sprint for ~15 or so seconds before having to stop (overheating, preferably with matching animations)
-the ability to tie a robot to a remote, and give them an on/off switch (I wouldn't mind if they started out tied to a remote either).
-Loses hunger 1/2 as fast.
-Maybe add a special type of helmet (Maybe reconfiguring the pumpkin?)
-Done through forge.
I sincerely hope this isn't too much, and if it is then, I suppose you shouldn't do it.
Hi, I was wondering if you or someone you know would make a mod that would add a couple of things. I really enjoy op mod packs like BigDig and would like a mod that would make it a little faster to progress. I was thinking of a an engine that could produce a large quantity of power for free/dirt cheap. Maybe have it require water and produce around 3 MJ/tick or the equivalent? The other thing I would want would be some simple boots that would take 2 leather and 2 enderpearls; the boots would double walking and running speed and maybe give the ability to jump fences. An engine I would love to have would be a "bio-diesel" engine that would run on carrots (like the DartCraft engines) and produce 8 MJ/tick or the equivalent. I wouldn't think this would be too difficult. The engines could use the Universal Electricity Api maybe? This would be just for me for jump starting my op factories in single player. They wouldn't have to be fancy either. The boots could be blue leather boots, the jump-start engine could look like the redstone engine only with blue accents and the bio-diesel could look like the clockwork engine only blue. (Yes, blue is my favorite color.) I'm not sure as to recipes for the engines but could come up with something quickly if you're willing to do this for me. What do you think?
