I have been trying to make a mod that adds more ores, but it has not been working out,
It would have all the naturally occurring metals and some alloys with them in it. Plus a few tools/armor
I'm actually already making a Metal Mod, but my first release isn't quite out yet, because of the 1.5 update. Can I integrate these ideas into it? I already had Titanium, Aluminum, Cobalt, Copper, and a Duralumin alloy.
It's sounds nice. I'd download it once you finish it because i always though Minecraft lacked an amount of ores. If i were i'd get BlockandCubes help making this mod. Be sure to let me know if you do ever finish this mod

nickel (Uncommon)
tin (Common)
titanium (Rare)
tungsten (Uncommon)
zinc (Uncommon)
copper (Common)
lead (Uncommon)
aluminium (Common
mercury (Uncommon)
silver (Common)
platinum (Uncommon)
iridium (Rare)
osmium (Very Rare)
The Alloy list:
osmiridium (iridium+osmium)
Brass (copper+zinc)
Bronze (copper+tin)
The Tool/Armor list:hardest at top of list least hard at the bottom
osmiridium (Stronger than diamond)
osmium (Stronger than diamond)
iridium (Stronger than diamond)
titanium (Same as diamond)
platinum
bronze
silver
