So If anyone has seen Origins: Spirits of the past, It's a very cool anime about how scientists experimented with plants and growing them on the moon, but they over accelerated their growth and they descended to earth and overran the planet leaving earth a lush jungle filled with ruins of the old world. I was thinking this would be a fantastic mod to play. Something along the lines of large jungles and huge trees hundreds of blocks tall with canopies and ruins of huge buildings.
Something along the lines of this for a general atmosphere.
Not from the movie but also helps show what I mean.
It would be really cool to create a mod that was based around exploring ruined cities and fending against mutant plant creatures. I feel like the only things that would need serious modding would be the terrian gen, adding at least 30 something mobs including large primordial animals such as big cats and other large and dangerous mammals. Examples below.
Also large nature-esque monsters.
Also gameplay would be key, perhaps something where you had to create windmills to create power and move items, players could create moving platforms and rope ladders to get around in the trees. I'm taking a little bit of inspiration from better than wolves mod and the mod that lets you fire arrows with rope attached and use that as a way to get around, the name escapes me. But I would love some idea, input from modders. I mean I don't code and probably never will, i just thought it would be cool to share my ideas.
I'm going to say the whole overworld is different. It's now a lush forest with a really agressive temper, it controls the rains and attack persons with some sort of dragon heads. There's also the desert that doesn't receive rain and must made some trade to get it's water.
I managed to put something together that was actually quite cool. I used EBXL, Forgotten Nature, Some other biome gen mods, as well as a ruin generation mod. Was getting pretty much exactly what I wanted. I updated to 1.5 though so I guess I'll have to wait till all those mods are updated.
