Now, wait for a second.
You might be thinking - "oh it's just another of these mods, you know with the milk in the crafting table..."
But no. In two days of a quite high creativity level I've written down the idea for a much more high quality cheese-making mod, that works similar to IndustrialCraft2's beer brewing.
Anyway, on with the show, shall we?
We start with mold.
This is how I would think the recipe should be.
This mold is used for making CHEESE. But, what do you make cheese IN?
Either a churn,
or a Cheese Box.
There is some complex stuff between the differences between the churn and cheese box, between how much time it takes for the different traits to be added to cheese. But before getting into the percentages, how about we look at more items needed to make cheese.
Spice is needed for a cheese mix, and for the adjective "spicy"
Next. we have various "mixes" or just the goo you pour in the churn/box because I couldn't think of anything better.
(pretend that nether wart is spice and lilypads are mold)
The cheddar mix,
The swiss mix,
And the brie mix.
You toss these and some mold in the churn and the box and then you wait... a while.
Speaking of which, let's discuss how the churn and cheese box work.
You place the churn, throw one of the three cheese mixes and some mold in it, then wait.
Then you wait.
You get different adjectives on the cheese that do different things.
Adjective --- Time (mins) --- HEALTH restored
Moldy 0 to 10 1 (and poison for 30 secs)
Smelly 11 to 15 1 (and weakness for 1 minute)
Dry 16 to 20 1
Mild 21 to 30 1.5
Strong 30 to 35 3
Perfect 35 to 40 5 (and regen for 10 seconds)
Too strong 40+ 1 (and poison + weakness for 1 30 seconds)
Spicy 35 to 40 3 (and strength + speed for 2 minutes)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the cheese box, which is portable,
Adjective --- Time (mins) --- HEALTH restored
Moldy-----------0 to 5 1 (and poison for 30 secs)
Smelly-----------6 to 10 1 (and weakness for 1 minute)
Dry---------------10 to 20 1
Mild---------------20 to 25 1.5
Strong------------30 to 35 3
Perfect------------35+ 5 (and regen for 10 seconds)
The cheese box can not have spices, and will not get to "too strong"
Each three cheese mix has a buff that comes with it, unless you get Moldy, Smelly, or Too Strong adjective.
When you get cheese out of a churn, you get a cheese wheel. It is cut in two halves in the crafting bench with a sword. Each half is cut into two quarters. Each quarter is cut into four slices. This means you get 16 slices of cheese, each restoring 3 full hungers. This means that one wheel, cut into slices, restores 48 hunger points.
Meanwhile, you get a block of cheese from the cheese block. You can cut this into 16 slices, each restoring 2 hunger. This means it restores 32 hunger each cheese block.
So basically, if you get a "Spicy Cheddar Slice," you would get Resistance, Speed, and Strength for 2 minutes and it would restore 3 health and 3 hunger.
Oh, also, the secret. One day I though, "What if I had a dog named Henry, and he liked drinking water, eating roast chicken, with a side of apple sauce?" So then I thought of this.
Henry's Dinner
This would spawn one wolf.
So if somebody thinks this idea is BRILLIANT, or somewhat good, PLEASE post and PLEASE send me a message.
