It's a nuisance, really. You work your butt off, you get every single Achievement unlocked. Then a new version of Minecraft comes out, or you see this nifty mod you'd like to use, and BAM... 'Press E to look at your Inventory'.
Would it be possible to write a mod that stores your achievement data, by username, in a central location on your computer so that no matter how much the .jar is modded, you'll never lose access to your achievements?
It's one of the annoyances with MultiMC... it rewrites the .jar each time it runs the instance, as a way of making sure the .jar doesn't get too cluttered. And it wipes achievements. Every time. However, MultiMC is also the most user friendly method of modding outside of using someone's mod pack, and far more flexible and versatile, being able to install mods that aren't in your buddy's mod pack.
