1. well if u don't like trading how about crafting it from a page(s) retrieved from dungeons chests
2.well thats why it is rare because you killed the dragon just in time to retrieve it ;D
3.also how about balkon weapon mod support http://www.minecraft...ith-boomerangs/ it would be nice to craft some steel and dragon weapons, or maybe you could take a look and create something similar or even better

1.wow yeah so single pages are basic and the full book is advanced and a tome(big book crafted with small books) will have secret knowledge

suggestions that came to my mind while i was playing:
1. shift + click for the anvil.. its cool to get you items Quickly and effective
2. conversion from wool to string
3. long bows
4. using runes(o a special rune based item created for this) of different elements in sequence(right click) to cast spells(runes suffer damage each use)
5. question: Minotaur drops something?
6. right click with hot metal on your hand in front of a cauldron to transform that hot metal into normal metal
7. adding spider eyes to normal bombs will create poisonous bombs

that's not an idea as it is a compatability. it's on the list. the shift-click support has a long and painfully annoying script where you have to check for each individual slot

Was going to add one of those... things that do that. but its not string string. but simply regular wool(string form)

Yeh a differant bow would be simple. adding arrows had problems(so your left with a new bow and same crappy arrows)

beef right now(their a "brute" mob. so their just like normal mobs but tougher-so no special drops(save that for elites))

There was going to be an elemental bomb of all sorts(with the fire bomb; i saved the meta data for more bomb types. and that's why the animation doesn't apply until picked up)
i do more than that. i just about predict a script on peoples replies on a subject. and all the annoying responses to things that may remain unimplemented

well it was going to be a way to make potions without going to that crap hole nether,. or finding mineshafts for melon
was going to be ingreedients found overworld for use in alchemy. they would have their own ways of harvesting and have 2 states(harvested, nonharvested)
would include things like camomile(regeneration), aloe vera(healing-though it's not ingested. it will do). etc

sounds cool, how about that depending of the process you do to and object like: drying,grinding, dissolving ... the effects of the object will change, and then it could be mixed with another item , and maybe a third item to create the potion effect,would be like: ground chamomile , mixed with dried aloe vera will create healing powder (is just an example)
well the actual ingreedient should always have the same effect no matter what the process
but allowing them to be in differant forms for mixing seems alright(i suppose i can outgrow the old brewing thing)
rather. i could(both) do vanilla ingreedient alternatives and my own alchemy system.
since things like aloe vera aren't eaten(their applied) i could make a range of salves that provide these uses
oh yeah and please if you do so ,add different "machines" and methods like using the cauldron or ,you know cool creative "magic"stuff because i think the vanilla system is rather simplistic
