My name is hiloser12221 and today I am looking for a group of coders, texture artists and possibly sound creators to help me make this mod that I have an idea for.
First, a little back story:
"The year is 2359, humanity is all but extinct. Things weren't always like this though. 30 years ago, the world's governments starting collapsing. The oil fields were running dry. The United Nations tried to rally its members together and create a new bio-fuel to power the world. It failed. When the oil ran out, countries started collapsing left and right, governments couldn't survive. Russia was no longer a super power at this point, China consumed it. The Asian continent formed a body known as the Greater Asian Forces and started building dangerous biological weapons. What was left of the UN joined up with the crippled USA and formed the Western Coalition Forces. The WCF and GAF were no friends, countless small fire-fights broke out along their countries borders. Then in 2334, the GAF launched its biological weapons against the WCF. The results were instantaneous. The death toll which started out at 1 million rose to almost 500 million in one night. The biological agent had disastrous effects.The WCF retaliated but not with chemical means. All of the WCF's nukes which were aimed at GAF countries were launched. The world was in total chaos. Earth's 10 billion population dropped to barely 1 million in a month. No one saw this coming, governments didn't issue protection or create bunkers to protect their people. The biological radiation mutated when exposed to the nuclear fallout. This new compound re-animated the dead and soon the typical zombie apocalypse had begun."
The idea is relatively simple, the regular Minecraft world no longer exists as it has been overrun by zombies. I know it sounds cliche but there is more.
For example, the terrain generation will be changed significantly so there are fewer trees (and the existing trees don't have leaves), grass (and grass covered dirt blocks) will be much rarer.
The most important thing about the terrain generation changes is there are going to be randomly generated cities (as rare as villages so will probably be coded similar to the existing village system) that are ruined. The city buildings will contain chests will useful items such as ammo, new guns and food (did I mention that animals are going to be non-existent?). The food system will be revamped including a thirst meter which I hope we can make it so it's not just a minor annoyance to consume water.
Here is a list of things so far:
City generation
Grass very rare
Trees rare and without leaves
Ammo for guns
Food (most likely canned)
No animals
Thirst
Modified hunger system (not sure how it will be modified just yet)
Now here is where you, the Minecraft forums comes in. I would like to create a modding team to develop this lengthy mod and obviously for a modding team, I need people. There will be a few roles and they are: Head coder, coder, Head artist, artist, Head sound creator, sound creator.
Now this isn't one of those "help make a game for me, i wont be doing anything" threads in the Computer and Technology board as I will actively participate in this mod's development. I will self-proclaim myself the head coder as I feel I have the necessary skills to create most of this mod's content but if a more experienced modder joins the team I will let them take that role. I also posses basic texturing skills but there are much better people than me out there.
Once the mod reaches alpha stage it will be released and tested then go into beta and into version 1. The download link for the version 1 mod will be adf.ly and the income (what little there is) of the links will be divided equally among the modding team.
I am looking for 2-3 more coders, 1-2 texture artists and as of now sound makers won't be needed as I doubt this mod will include much need for custom sound.

Also Ive got a couple of ideas.
1. you could make the zombies a tad bit stronger, or you could have millions of them.
2. Add more gore like arms ripping off and blood splatters
3. and could you add a sneak system so If you dont have a weapon you could just try and sneak pass them.
