I have always wanted a mob that can be commanded to stay in a certain area and help defend it from hostile mobs.
General Idea
Basically, what I want is a mob that can be hired/crafted or whatever and could be commanded to defend an area, and could follow you around if told to do so. Here are some examples of what I mean.
Mobs
Archer
Hearts - 7.5 (that means it has 7 full hearts and a half)
Damage - 2 (that means 2 FULL hearts of damage)
Weapon - Bow
Speed - Same as player
How to obtain - Archer Block

B= Bow

Range - 28 blocks? (can be changed in a config file)
Movement - Can be commanded to defend a certain area (marked by placing the archer block and he will stay within 6 blocks of it) and can be commanded to follow you. 2nd option is that he will follow a certain "road" block.... by that I mean he will only walk on the road block, and can also be commanded to follow you
Soldier
Hearts - 12
Damage - depends on sword
Weapon - Sword (starts with a wooden sword, can be given any type of sword, by dropping it next to him)
How to obtain - Soldier block
W=Wooden plank
I= Iron Ingot

Movement - same as archer except he will stay in a 16 block radius of his soldier block (can be changed in config file), can also be commanded to follow you, he will exit the 16 block zone to kill a mob that ran away tried to run away
Those are just some ideas. If you DO make a mod out of this, please give me credit for the idea and keep the mod it self simple (as in don't go over board and add 5 million things, just keep it around the main idea of defending a certain area). I would have made this mod my self if I knew how to code . Also if you DO make a mod out of this, I can help with the textures for the mobs and the blocks. If there is a mod that does this, please tell me what it's name is and provide a link.
