Now before people tell me that there is a Mythril mod out there, I know. Hopefully, this is different.
Mythril: The "Myth"ical Gem!
My idea is that there are three types of Mythil. There is Standard Mythril. It has a dull gray color to it and no special properties. It is about the same as iron in every aspect. Then there is the Taint Mythril. It is a dark blood red color and is best used as a weapon. It does more damage that standard and mines faster, but is weaker. The last one is Pure Mythril. It is the sky blue everyone is familar with. It's special properties are that it is the exact opposite of Taint Mythril. Low attack and slower mining speed. It has a higher durability and is best as armor.
Spawning Regular Mythril is about as common as iron. Spawns at about the same level as well. Taint and Pure Mythril are rarer that diamond, but are usually found in big clusters.
I'm thinking that the Standard Mythril could be made into Taint and Pure Mythril but not reversed. I haven't exactly worked out how though.
Anyways, that's my idea. Hopefully someone will make it.
Why not do a full compliment of mythical/legendary ores? Not simply as tool stuff, but also for alchemy and whatnot. Quicksilver, for example, as an alchemy/decorative ore that needs to be solidified after being made through alchemy, but burns through most blocks in its liquid form.

Standard mythril is about the same as iron (tools and armor), and can be mined with a stone pickaxe
Pure and Taint mythril must be mined with iron or above. You can refine standard mythril to taint mythril by putting it in a furnace, and taint mythril can be refined to pure mythril. Taint is good for tools, it is strong, but has low durability. Pure has high durability, and is good for armor.

No, you don't need Forge. I'm sorry, I can't see the problem here. Can you copy your ModLoader.txt in your .minecraft and paste that here? Maybe I can see the error there. I'll try the mod myself once more when I come home, but that could take half a day.
EDIT: I believe I see what it is. ModLoader and Mythril are made for 1.2.3, and maybe you are running 1.2.4?
You just have to wait for ModLoader to update so I can update Mythril.

It can't find ITextureProvider, which is a class that is added with Forge. You're gonna have to wait for Forge to update, cause as of now I think that it is still only available for 1.1.0.
I really think u should make mythril be very strong and work as a good weapon I don't like how u need to have more kinds of mythril
Well, one is strong and one is durable. Also, I wanted something different than the regular sky blue mythril that is the best, so I came up with this. If you don't like it, gtfo.

Well good news is, it didn't crash, but the blocks and items didn't appear in creative or TMI.Thank you for making the mod none the less, and whatever you can do to fix it would be greatly appreciated. I really wish I could help you, and will try one day.

If I'm correct, the items should appear. At least they did with me. There is one other thing I'd like to inform you about: the armour doesn't work with falling damage and I don't know if it works against monsters. It does work with fire, though.
And you can help me. If you want to, could you make a thread about this mod? I'd appreciate it.
