Hello,
I run just installed minecraft on my Acer Iconia W500 and i really want to it be 'useable'. I know i could simply dual boot android-x86 and get pocket edition, but i don't want that, you see, i run a MC server and I'd love to interact with my players on-the-go, and this device is fully capable of that, it's minecraft that isn't fit, that's want I want fixed. Please note that any usage of the built-in keyboard is impossible, because miencraft detects a keypress to the keyboard as a screen movement, making your screen go crazy when using the keyboard, I understand that is an issue with chatting, but i can live with that, I just want to be able to properly look around and move using just the touch controls. Also notice minecraft picks all touches up as a left-click, so that will also need to be fixed. Basically, I would like the touch controls of Minecraft Pock Edition, on the desktop version, I know that if a dev picks this up, they most likely won't have this device, so they could send me their builds, and i could test them and explain the issues, if any are found. I realize this is a fairly big mod and would require a large amount of time, that's why I'm willing to pay. Please keep it clean in the replies. I understand not many want this so that's why I'm paying, not expecting the dev to release this to the public, but of course if he wanted, he could. If any developer is interested, you can PM me. Of you have any questions feel free to ask.
I have included Minecraft thought the touch controls seem to be unplayable turned on. However, there is a program called Gestureworks Gameplay. Found here https://gameplay.gestureworks.com/
guys, there is a beta program called gesture works, its only about 14 dollars on steam and lets you configure controls for any game allmost anyway you want them. it gives you the power to make any game touchscreen. heres a link to a minecraft gestureworks program
Count me in, tentatively. I've downloaded the GestureWorks Gameplay controller, and I can't get it to work. I'm certainly hoping that I can get it working, but if it doesn't, I'll be in the market. The GestureWorks Gameplay controller app costs $15; and even though that includes a bunch of controllers, I'd happily pay $15 for a Minecraft-only mod.
Update: GestureWorks Gameplay's controller really isn't working for me. It's possible they will fix it, and it has a lot of potential, but I'm willing to commit to paying for a separate mod.
One thing that's non-intuitive about the GestureWorks controller is how they handle selecting which item to wield. You would think the logical thing is just to make each of the squares at the bottom center of the screen touchable. But in fact, they created a bunch of numbered buttons in the top left corner instead. Now, there may have been a reason they had to do it that way, something likely having to do with the way GestureWorks is put together, but to me it points to the merit of a dedicated minecraft mod.

Wow... This thread is four yrs old. However, Ri5ux, a mod would be good...
There is a version of Minecraft in the windows store which is like pocket edition, that might have touch support.
