Here is my idea: The creation of NPC's that will produce basic materials on Minecraft multiplayer servers.
Reason this is great: This would be great because it could help fix what I Feel is the biggest flaw with RP servers. This flaw is the issue of overproduction from players. Someone can easily just grind out huge amounts of materials and it makes teamwork and specialization unimportant. This destroys the creation of an economy and makes organic story creation impossible. This means that to have RP it has to be scripted and I personally find this unenjoyable. To solve this problem one could just mod in increased gather times and tool restrictions. I believe this is only part of the answer. While this solves the overproduction problem it creates a new one the forcing of players to tediously collect materials creating a permeant peasant under-class of players this is no fun and unacceptable. I believe if production NPC's can be implemented It would allow a proper economy to form. Other benefits would be a more vibrant world (more entities moving around), also Players would be able to occupy more interesting roles. The potential of this project is large scale. I have no modding skill but have given this project a good bit of thought those with thoughts or help please reply or message me.
