The biomes in my favorite map have been messed up since the 1.9 pre5 update, i.e, Minecraft sees a non-winter biome as a winter biome. This makes it so that there is frozen water in a desert.
I've tried everything to change the biomes. Cracking the ice by hand doesn't do much, as the water almost immediately freezes back after the ice is broken. Changing the level.dat with a new map that doesn't have any snow by the spawn point (where I've built everything in my map) doesn't work at all either.
It would really help me out if someone were to make a simple edit/mod so that whenever an ice block is broken it WILL NOT solidify back into ice, regardless of what biome it is in. I'm sure others would find this handy as well.
If possible, please make this mod work for the new full release of minecraft (1.0.0). Thank you so much for who ever decides to work on this. You'd really help me out
I hope this comes out, i played 1.9 pre for about 10 minutes and every body of water in my world was covered in ice. i used mcedit to delete every block of ice and replace it with water but then when i logged back in, it just spawned again!
i deleated all the ice again and swiched back to 1.8. and i will continue to play 1.8 untill ice nolonger spreads or grows back
so if anyone out there, anyone at all can make a mod for 1.0 that stops ice from spawning. i will love you forever.
