Those are two very different things, I know, but they both have one thing in common: natural, non-symmetrical formations which I have trouble with. I've been working on and off on a giant tree in Minecraft. It is SO giant that it goes from nearly bedrock to the top of the world. Currently I am deleting huge chunks around it, making the ground around it flat, but what I want to do is have it be the center of a huge valley, and as the valley expands out it slowly inclines into the normal ground level. But I want those inclines to look like natural hills.

I'm also having trouble making decent, natural-looking branches. That one is rather self-explanatory.

Here's a pic for reference. Please note that the basic design is not mine! I found a layout plan for a cross-section of the tree as well as the root layout on 4chan but could not locate the source, if you recognize it, I'll be sure to mention it every time I show someone. :smile.gif:

Ontopic: If you are playing on a server, I reccomend, as Fooo346 already said, VoxelSniper. It is a great plugin. Really useful.

Not playing on a server, and I've used MCedit. How else do you think I built half of it? :tongue.gif:

I think Voxel Sniper has some good land shaping powers and there are separate mods for making or generating cool and giant trees.

Is it just for multiplayer though? I'm on single player.

Hm yeah, VoxelSniper is just for Multiplay...wellllllllllll for singleplayer...I have absolutely no clue what to use, for about 1 year I only play on my server. I am sorry.

I can't find any part of World Edit that adds hills. Anything else?
