OOH! I had an idea a while ago i asked my coder brother to do and he said it was just too hard. what i though of was: CLOTHES! different coloured wool to make shirts, pants, hats, and boots and whatnot!if you manage to do this, you will have my deepest respect.
Well you coder brother is wrong >.> Clothes would be a relatively easy to make mod. The textures are the hardest part since I don't have any skill in that department :tongue.gif:
on taking mod requests threads comments come pretty fast. you may want to lock the topic once in a while. (btw have you seen my post on page 3?:wink.gif:)
If I have then I replied to it in the second of theses posts :tongue.gif: Only mods and above can lock threads and I don't think a mod would like me bugging them to lock and unlock the thread :tongue.gif:
I can make Creepers and Spiders spawn on specific blocks. What did you have in mind?
I don't know much about how trees generate but when I have some time I'll look through it and get back to you :smile.gif:
Will read later
Will try to do later. Still need to look through the first batch of requests :tongue.gif:
I really don't know what DocterWho is other than it is a show :/ Either way I will still have to 'approved'
by the person who is in charge of the project :/
Wanna be a little bit more descriptive?
I'll set what I can do :/
I recommend using a custom launcher in the Tools section of the forum(I might be wrong on that) that makes you choose which jar you want to run on start up. So you can have as many jars with different mods as you want.
Still don't know if I'd be 'approved':/
I think its possible. I'll see what I can do when I have some time :/
Before I reply, grrr I'm still only half way through the replies >:sad.gif: OT: I think its possible but I wouldn't know how to it ATM.
Seems a little bit to advanced. For one I don't think theres a way for a block generator to detect if it is day or night. How will the block generate on already generated land? I can make it generate in the air whether day or night but not exclusively. Armor and items glowing in the dark isn't possible without the DynamicLighting mod. Again for items, I don't think there is way for an item to see if it day or night :/ I know its possible to the player have 'special' attributes but ATM I don't know how :/ Taking control of a mob, that it self is just a whole other mod. I can make this up to the extents I listed here.
I don't know if it is possible to make a 'invisible' force that interact with blocks.
I don't know how to make it :sad.gif: Try suggesting it to 303, whatever happened to him and his mods?
Will read later
Check if I replied to you.
Like I said before, I don't know how to make the player into a mob and back :/
Finished VICTORY!!! *Remembers all the possible coding up ahead* Dammit!!!
I saw the reply and you said you would have a hard time, my question was though would you make it?

I know that MinecraftExtended can do this. A new 'revolution',as some people are calling it, is MinecraftForge which claims unlimited Terrain and Item sprite indexes. I don't use it since it is incompatible with OptiFine.
lol - yeah, MinecraftExtended is what I was talking about. It fails. I couldn't get it to work no matter what I did - even removing all my mods, it crashed Minecraft for me (on a fresh install). I mostly gave up on it because I don't know java (at all) and can't rewrite it or debug it. *laughs*
The forge thing I don't know - but have heard it's incompatible with a lot of things, including Pam's harvest, forage, etc mods (which I use). Having to swap out 3/4 of my mods to use it wouldn't solve my problem - but I might try it while I also look for another solution, anyway...
So.... can you recommend any java resources for someone who knows nothing (really, I've done some basic work years ago, so I understand the logic of programming but know nothing) of java but wants to make mods? :smile.gif:
okay I need a Working HUD for multiplayer (so it can't conflict)
It needs:
To highlight people in a blue line, and fill it in when they aren't visible
Tell me the distance between me and the Entity my cross hair is on
Have a flashing Warning sign when I'm low on health (2 hearts left
Tell me the time of day
Tell me if I facing North/NorthEast/East/SouthEast/South/SouthWest/West/NorthWest
A hot key with it that can change my texture pack
A hot key to turn it on and off

I Got a big one for you my friend, Me and two other minecrafters brainstormed the idea while we were bored: An advanced nether mod "plagues of the nether* was the unnofficial title, the idea is that once you enter the nether There are a series of fortresses that generate getting bigger in size (templates not yet finished) Each ruled by an overlord of sorts that get stronger untill eventually you come across A really big one at the end with the main overlord that we depicted as a sort of mehrunes dagon (elder scrolls IV: oblivion) Now after completing all of these fortresses you fight the main overlord and Restore Light to the nether It doesnt replace anything It only Takes away the roof of the nether to reveal A black sun (tht still gives of light) and an ecplipsed moon. NOW THE INTERESTING PART: should you fail to take over these fortresses then theyy will mount an attack on the small sanctuary that houses your nether portal and your way home! should they reach this portal and remove a block called a "keystone" then they have access to the regular minecraft overworld and the nether starts leaking out into your world. The ground starts turning into netherrack and the water turns into lava and the only way to free your world is to go into A fort that is generated as soon as they destory the keystone (in the main world) and destory the enemy keystone thus sending them back to the nether and respawning your keystone inside and the who,e thing starts again.
SHOULD YOU COMPLETE THE FORTS: the emeny is driven out of the nether for 14 minecraft days and 15 nights and during that time you have access to the mini nether realm (with no current name) Made completely out of the keystone material Which you can mine and make weapons and items out of.

EXTRA MOBS:
tortured soul 1
slave zombie pigman 2
overlord (s) 3
FINAL OVERLORD 4
Hooded skeleton 5
Hooded zombie 6
Nether golem 7
*******************************************8
1= soul that is imprisoned in the nether, will attack anything
2= completely neutral zombie pigman that has been chained (can be liberated)
3= the fort bosses
4=final fort boss (duel weilding weapons)
5= skeleton with robes and a hood (impervious to sunlight)
6= same as 5 but zombie
7= A big golem that is spawned out of 3x1x1 towers of netherrack
***********************************************
Hopefully this should keep you busy should you choose to create it, i too am working on textures and skins and should you wish to email me at: [email protected] Feel free to do so!
The force wouldn't have to be invisible. It could look like water.
Remember that redstone and similar blocks even if small still take up the amount of a normal block. Meaning other blocks can't go through it. Take a half step for example, putting a halfstep on the floor, then a different block, the different block will not fit into the half block.

I started by reading the Modding for the absolute beginner thread. It teached the basics of modding Minecraft and a little bit about java :tongue.gif:

I like this :biggrin.gif: Its like a small but well needed revamp of the nether :biggrin.gif: I'll see what I can do when I have some free time. I'm barely putting the finishing touches on the first request I took up :smile.gif:
I can make Creepers and Spiders spawn on specific blocks. What did you have in mind?
Mainly just colour, but not pattern, based on what they spawn on. If it works in Multiplayer, then that's even better.
I just don't want a Spider on Grass being completely obvious.
I was thinking that it could be similar to how leaves work, taking a gray texture and colouring it based on location.

I still have yet to see anyone make a statue of a dwarf strangling a kitten that you can live inside.
This mod was my idea, i've taken it to several modders and none of them have responded past "i'll try" -days later and not even an "i've started," "i've hit a problem" or "how was this supposed to work."

Which request was it? I can't seem to find it :sad.gif:
so did you check out the links? you should make a page on the released mods for all the misc. mods that you're doing.
I used to be known as Scizor on the MC forums. I run a pony Ask blog!
Its ok if you cant do it it sounds complicated...

modloader, Better Than Wolves and forge compatible please.
You want them camouflaged?
Yeah, if I were to make that don't not expect it to be compatible with Forge. What is compatible with Forge?
Wouldn't it be easier and less time consuming just to make shrubs destroyable by shears?
