I don't think you should grant experience points for destroying blocks. Instead keep the focus on building by assigning a certain number of experience points to different craftables and blocks placed. This way it's less likely that players will just go around destroying everything just to get xp. Just a thought. Giving xp for blocks placed would be good. I don't expect many players would go around placing blocks randomly just to get xp :smile.gif:

Killing mobs

Well, did you notice that the levels came in thousands of exps not hundreds see this
Exp amounts:
of course you know that the amount exp needed to level up, but the amounts of exp maybe relatively high e.g:
level 1: 1000 exp
level 2: 2000 exp
level 3: 4000 exp
level 4: 6000 exp
level 5: 9000 exp
and so on...
go see it now changed, and btw how do you see destroying and placing bricks, is it unbalanced, if yes then tell me how can it be balanced.
I feel that this is going good!
There are some problems ive been finding:
1. No slime or squid! You do find slimes, just extremely rarely. Give them a buncha points! And squids not so much. But they do go extremely deep down, so thats golla be worth something.
2. Blocks suck! I find the placing and removing common blocks is stupid. Mining and cutting are ok but the others...
3. SUcky banner. If i could make a banner, i would help you change it. But i dont so...

Burning minerals: If you're digging just beside a lava pool, then you'd better be careful, because if you burn anything(except cobblestone) in lava, you lose 200 exp.

ok same here with knowing mod already exists but there is 2 the one for single player is lost in 1.2 stuff in mods released and the 2nd is a pluggin for bukkit and kmod or w.e they have some stuff like this but really all the people impressed by this would say your system is too easy and id find it rather nice but kinda stupid with alot of the rates and ways to get exp cause your playing but not every rpg is about exp or leveling system exactly.

here clerifing my post: there is a mod for smp servers which has all this already so this mod is nothing new accept for if this was to only be for singleplayer. but even if you make this mod for singleplayer the rates are way too uneven and you are ruining the part of turning this sandbox game into a rpg type one with mod. people are gonna complain alot about being too easy or not like it and not exactly trolling about it or posting what they think but mumble to themselves. i hope this clarifies my post

um i was mistaken when said not avaible for ssp and still searching for thread from 1.3 and it does kinda make game lose its sandbox feel. I dont expect everyone to download but those that do will as i said feel they way i said they would.
