If you ever have time or wanna create a new mob or something, I would suggest a dragon. Like flying ones, cave ones, swimming ones, etc. I have no clue how hard it would be to make, but if you feel like it, I would love you forever. And... if you made it so we could ride them like we ride horses in Mo' Creatures, I will give you my first born son :biggrin.gif:
if you put slime balls all over the crafting grid you will get a new slime block. it will pretty much look like a slime just without eyes, and its not alive. if you jump on it it will act like a trampoline :biggrin.gif:
Yes, a plant that makes gunpowder. It's quite rare, and grows just like reeds/sugarcanes/bamboe/whatever. When you place one plantpart into the crafting grid, you get one gunpowder. This way, you can make a gunpowder farm.
Well doesn't it sound like a great, wonderful doublerainbow happiness world? Well here's the thing that makes that less fun: it attracts creepers. Wait what? Why in the world would a creeper be attracted by some random plant? Well, they need to get their explosiveness from SOMETHING, don't they? The gunpowder plant is the food of the creepers. Creepers in a radius of an ammount of blocks will be attracted and will walk toward it. In other words, it will be even harder to obtain, and it's best to keep your farm away from your house.
Being down because of that? No need, because that brings other uses with it! You can even farm more gunpowder now, by keeping these plants in the open wild, where creepers will fall in a trap that you build around it! You can also lure them away from that entrance of your house you had to rebuild a hunderd times by placing a plant slightly away from it. Think of it like that stuff you use to lure and kill ants, which you put in your garden.
So, novice modder, are you up for this challenge?!

my story : i was anialateing the creeper race when poof i was a creeper...at first i was mad then i was very happy cuz boom my brothers buildings wer gone by my mega creeper blast!!!
Explained in link, basically a block crafted from iron ingot and cactus that creates a barbed wire block. It functions almost exactly like a cactus block, except that it has no placement requirements / restrictions, and is placeable like any other block.
Best part is, you only need make one new block type:) Pretty-please make it? :biggrin.gif:
Nevermind, I managed to figure it out and get it done myself.
A mod where you can instantly store or take things from a chest.
Or where when you are in a chest you can shift right click on a item in your inventory and all those item will be transfered to your chest.
i am not exactly sure what the controles could be.
i would also like this to work with smp
(now that is a challenge. If it even makes sense)

Water and Lava Pipes: Blocks that can carry water and lava
How to make:
Lava Pipes: [] [] []
Water Pipes: [] [] []
How to use: You simply place blocks in a row that can go right, left, down, and up.
Then you place a block of water or a pool of water and watch it go trough the Pipes!
I like this idea, by the way it is electricity =)

Make a new block type that is an angle, a triangle, or a "Ramp" if you will. So you can make smooth edges instead of jagged edges.
like that.
And make it so it can be placed at any angle, if you're down looking up it'll be placed upisde down, if you're up looking down, etc.
Or a block that looks like this // so when connected it makes a long arrow beam structure.

Make a simple fridge two blocks high and one block widt with editable texture .
It could only hold food.

Wallhack so you can see mobs behind teh walls.
just in case a creeper is near you.
1. make horizantal doors
and 2. make cactus more usefull like make so you can make tools out of it and a trap that has spikes
again 3. make an ore finder that better than the gay xray mod
if you would please accept this challenge i would happy
