I think these are great ideas, these would definitely add a reason for me to hunt, and explore instead of just sitting there cooped up in my house and just add a more nature-y feel to the game instead of the constant loneliness.

I know right? The chance of them all being added is almost 0 but if modders need some inspiration, this is the place for them to be. The birds of Mo's Creatures are a good start to achieving that 'nature-y feel' :smile.gif:
I know this might sound dumb but I always wanted more biome specific animals such as arctic foxes and bat eared foxes and such so when you in the tundra or desert it's easier to tell cause of the creatures around you.

If Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter were all destroyed, 90% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 10% who'd be laughing, copy this into your signature and hope it happens.
I was doing some animal searching and saw a little image of a cartoon ant. And thus my thought process began. Maybe if in the game ant hills could be found with multiple ants protecting it. If you got too close the ants would climb and cling on to you and deal some sort of damage. I don't know what amount would be appropriate. Maybe you can get them off with water or you just have to get far away enough from their home.
Maybe after their house is destroyed, with any tool, a queen would come out. She would be a huge ant and if you kill her maybe you would obtain a very rare item. Possibly a fuel source. some type of oil that secretes from her body.
I understand that this would be very hard for anybody to try and do, maybe even Notch(if you are reading this Notch, yes, it is a challenge!).
I don't know why both of my suggestions are bugs. :tongue.gif: i hate bugs, but love them at the same time. They have such amazing weapons built into their bodies, which is why i hate them close to me. So yes, i think it would be cool. You don't have to have it up immediately since you are getting a lot of requests, saying that you like this idea of course.

I'd like more biome specific creatures too.
More specifically, I'd love to see a snow leopard that spawns on high terrain in snowy biomes.
Rare woodland specific creatures like deer might be nice. The friendly mob system needs a serous overhaul first as I am so tired of every patch of grass I work with turning into a barnyard.
I don't think any of the smaller mobs such as grasshoppers or mice or even raccoons or badgers will be worth it. I did see the mod that adds birds and I did like that but how well does it scale. If you have way to much going on it might just make the game more laggy.

love the owls, but first i think the ent should spawn in the mass forests that can be found. you know where the trees are enormous. and the ent should "grow" with the trees...
I think they are a great idea. As long as one of them destroy blocks by suicide bombing (unless you put tnt on them and send them out >=D) or digging like I got a mod animal that was a mole or something it destroyed a trap and bombed my cactus farm I didn't know why >=(. But these will need color and look editing and different skins and type. But I think it's a great idea I love to see new mobs =D!

Are you serious? They're definitely a great idea and would add lots of atmosphere and realism.
Picture this: you're in a thick rainforest, trudging through the tall grass and shrubs (these are other mods) when you see a faint glimmer out of the corner of your eye. Turning around, you see a rare bright orange butterfly flitting about near a waterfall! This is just what you needed- its blood gives a magical property to weapons (and hey, it's the only one you haven't caught yet.) You start running, disturbing several birds of paradise in the process. Monkeys howl and grunt at you from above. You see a snake slithering about, but that's not gonna stop you now. Then, all of a sudden... utter silence. The birds and monkeys stop chattering. The crickets stop chirping. You hear a deep, guttural growl. You slowly turn around to see a(n) <insert fitting animal here.>
I was thinking that it would be interesting to find a witch every now and then. She would wander the forest killing mobs and any player that she comes across. She would attack with fire like the fire wraith, but she could also use the ghast balls to make her a bit more dangerous. She could remain neutral toward the player until attacked.
She would be found in only the deepest, darkest parts of the forest. She would carry a wealth of random mob drops if killed. The problem is that killing her is quite hard, since she is quite strong.

It is not the weapon that makes the warrior, but the warrior that makes the weapon.
Ok, I will put the ideas on the OP. Maybe today or tomorrow (not much time on pc today). Good ideas folks :smile.gif: The witch would be fun, but I don't think fireballs and forest is a good combo.
Ok so I added them. Images of tiger etc. will be posted tomorrow. No modder seems to be interested in any of the ideas. I think they're busy :tongue.gif: I changed the witch idea a little bit and added some idea. Nice ideas! Keep em comin!
I added a Index which makes it's better to navigate through the OP. Also added more images, the (Bull)Ant and Crocodile. Only the Tiger and Lynx are left. At least...untill I get new Ideas! :biggrin.gif: Post some plz Now that water mobs are reality, maybe you can give me some of those :smile.gif: Enjoy the Weekend!

I agree that fire and forest just don't go well together. Perhapse there could be a way to remove the fire part of the ghast ball.
Another thought came to mind just a bit ago. You know how now flowers are actually useful. Well, I was thinking that it would be neat if flowers could multiply automatically. The problem is that one would need some sort of pollination. So I was thinking that bees would be an interesting addition to the game. A swarm of them could travel as one block around to the flowers near it. Hives would randomly generate in locations that have flowers. The hives would generally be in or on trees. Hives could add another source of sugar, a new tool, and make it so that flowers can be sustained. The new tool would be a smoker, the smoker would not need to actually put out smoke but would be used to access the hive through right clicking. It would have a certain amount of uses, or it would need to be loaded with "fuel" such as wood, sticks, or even coal. It could be made something like the following.

The bee idea is cool but I think farmcraft is doing something simular. I will post the idea later. Now I added a support banner! Also I added the missing images. :biggrin.gif:
