I just scanned my comp 2x and got both times it took file from .minecraft/.fabric/remappedJars/[my version] a file called client-intermediary.jar
and guess what it marked it as EXP/2012-4681.AU (EXP as in EXPloit), some form of trojan??
I deleted it the first time not thinking much about it, then opened fabric again and as I shouldve expected the file was back, IG its supposed to be for cross-platforming or some sh*t but, please...
I just wanna know if this happened to anyone else here too and should i just unistall fabric altoghether, or im fine and its just a big mistake..
Answer preferably from a dev or some sort of John Wick of hackers, please..

Which Antivirus program do you use? Avira or TrendMicro (in connection with fabric) are knows for False Positives
Report it to the fabric devs:

If there is a security issue, I think we will know that
The modding community is quite fast detecting suspicious/malicious files or content
Like in the current case with the curseforge malware:
https://support.curseforge.com/en/support/solutions/articles/9000228509-june-2023-infected-mods-detection-tool/
What exactly the client-intermediary.jar does, I think only the devs can tell that
god i hope so
whatevr ima just keep it in quar for some time and stay away from minecraft until this is thoroughly explained...
lol just randomly found that sh*t on amazon 🤣💀
so you checked it and its safe right?

You can check the file with sites like https://www.virustotal.com
I made a test with the file from the fabric modpack FabulouslyOptimized - there are no warnings
none flagged it...

UPDATE: I've scanned this wth this virustotal that farlander suggested and turned to be clean
I even bought Norton to scan it thoroughly and still nothing
Moral of the story (if there is any..) don't take your antivirus too seriously, but always be careful with what you find kids........
