Has anyone else noticed that mods don’t have the same surprise factor? I’ve been wanting to play a kitchensink pack like CrazyCraft but mods for newer versions of Minecraft are the same old ones like Tinkers, BOP, RS, Alex’s Mobs— mods that you don’t really encourage exploring something new, when we’ve been through them so many times already.
Meme/Funny mods kinda fell off after 1.12.2 imo, with FunCraft being the last pack with similar vibes to CrazyCraft. I know CC was ported to 1.16 but that’s not really my point— just that there’s no new mods to really explore as of 1.18+.
Anyway, just wanted to reminisce a bit I suppose LOL, if anyone remembers those times.
Mods I miss always hit me randomly— I miss Pandora’s Box haha and that superhero suit mod.
I understand that feeling. I tried playing a few mods and modpacks that run on the newer versions of the game and it just doesn't hit like the older modpacks like Attack of the B-team or the original Hexxit. I have been playing Rougelike Adventure Dungeons! modpack recently and the mods on there give me that sort of surprise factor that I remember having when I played older mods.
