My pc is mid-end I found a server which has all the mods I also want to install. Well I don't know how servers work:
Is it like that all of the "work" is done by server and your own pc can rest at least a little bit or is it like it is *more* work for your own pc *because* you are on a server?
If someone could explain this to me, would be very nice :3
Remember, your connecting to another computer server somewhere else in the world, as opposed to playing on a client on your PC. Better performance is not guaranteed.

Hey guys,
My pc is mid-end I found a server which has all the mods I also want to install. Well I don't know how servers work:
Is it like that all of the "work" is done by server and your own pc can rest at least a little bit or is it like it is *more* work for your own pc *because* you are on a server?

Performance on your client and on a server are two separate things.
To increase your performance on your client, you can use mods like Optifine or change settings like the view-distance
Thanks for the answer. Yes, I know :D. I'm already playing with fabric, sodium and iris.
I'm just wondering if performance would be even greater for me, when I'm playing on a server
