If I have minecraft installed on a separate harddrive from main drive, since I still have the .minecraft folder in AppData, I'm unsure of which one I should install Fabric in.
The chosen game location or the AppData .minecraft folder?
You can choose the default location
With editing your profile you can choose the game version (fabric) and your game-files (directory on other HDD) separately
I was asking which directory I should install fabric in though?
Do I actually need to install it in both? Or can I not use it unless I install it on main drive?
fabric need to install there, where the main files are - in appdata
fabric or forge always are binding to the default minecraft version.
If is in the other location no minecraft version files the launcher will not recognize the installation
the api or mods can be in the new location which is selected in your profile
Oh yeah. I'm installing it to be able to use specific plugins on a server so I don't rly need to install it in the chosen location then.
Thanks for your help!
EDIT: Ok well it still doesn work. lol
I'm sorta trying to run world edit on a server but no matter how I do this it seems I can't use the world edit commands.
Did you add the fabric version of WE to your mods-folder?
Yes. Doesn't work somehow. No commands are accepted I can't even use double slash.
Do other mods work?
Are you in creative mode and/or are commands set to allowed?
Nevermind, I somehow got the wrong file again. It works! (to be fair my eyes don't stand still lmao. I saw fabric and then clicked on sth that started with f and got forge. heck)
Once again thanks for your help.
