I thought it was a server source for some reason until I looked again (so used to the UI of it looking like that). XD

Legacy Fabric announcements. Just going to post what's listed as exact as possible.
Post 1:
@everyone workaround for newer versions of Java on Minecraft 1.8:
Go into `options.txt`, and set `useNativeTransport:false`
Something in Netty's fallback only works on Java 8 now, but if you don't use nativeTransport it works fine on Java 17/18.
Post 2:
@everyone hack to force Netty to work anyway (useNativeTransport must still be set to false).
This removes the server block list, and nulls out a lot of Patchy 'issues' (Bu******), completely fixing networking on 1.8 (I hope).
Sources Jar is just there because I'm too lazy to make a GitHub repo for it right now, I literally just realized it worked.
You only need the shortname jar in your mods folder.
https://github.com/PseudoDistant/Not-So-Old
Post 3:
The jar I pushed was wrong because the mixin config was named incorrectly.
You can fix this by renaming the files, or here's a new build.

Otherwise while not a linkable poll am curious as the poll in discord was this
should Legacy Fabric API force Minecraft to not use nativeTransport?
Yes 12
No 8
No Mibano, democracy is dead.
Otherwise here is results to the second poll link as haven't posted since that first time to show updated results.

Legacy Fabric release
Shows the players hunger bar when in a boat or minecart. (1.6 - 1.10.2)
Show My Hunger
https://modrinth.com/mod/show-my-hunger
Wiki: https://modwiki.miraheze.org/wiki/Show_My_Hunger
Supports these versions:
1.6.4, 1.7.10, 1.8.9, 1.9.4, 1.10.2
I made a request for Horses/Donkeys/Mules to have the hunger bar for players be visible. The mod author has considered it for whenever they can. So expect that 'maybe' in the next release of the mod whenever that is.

A video showing the Java (as in Java itself) installing loading window as a background for the splash screen/title screen. Base Edit/Modloader/Bukkit related releases
1.BiomeCaves for Beta 1.7.3 Base Edit, Bukkit Mod, Modloader/ModloaderMP
Desc: A Bukkit ported mod that generates biome specific-caves
https://glass-repo.net/repo/mod/biomecaves
Class changes (that's the best I can do no further descriptions) WorldGenDungeons.class and BlockIce.class (so the Ice Block and Dungeons are changed in some way)
2.Slider Weapon Configuration for Beta 1.7.3 Forge/Modloader
Desc: Configure weapons that can harm the Slider

Class changes: EntitySlider.class
Slider Wepaon Configuration for Aether on Beta 1.7.3.
This mod allows the player to configure what tools can harm the Slider.
Aether uses some jank logic that doesn't work properly and breaks with Forge.
This is compatible with anything that doesn't edit EntitySlider class.
You can manually add in IDs in config or use the config options.
Be sure to install this on top of Aether as a patch.
Requirements:
-Aether
-ModLoader
Soft Dependencies:
-Forge/Reforged
-ModMenu

3.OptiForge (tagged Base Edit Beta 1.7.3 but most likely Forge Beta 1.7.3)
Desc: OptiFine loader for Forge!
https://glass-repo.net/repo/mod/optiforge
Download page desc:
This mod doesn't contain OptiFine, you have to download it yourself.
This mod dynamically loads an OptiFine zip/jar, applies it to Minecraft in a less aggressive manner, and applies more patches to it to make it more compatible with other mods!
Notice by me: It is a compatibility layer type mod for OptiFine so if you have OptiFine for Beta 1.7.3 then your good to go if not you can't really use this mod. If it works the same way I think it does for OptiForge/OptiFabric on modern versions with just having the mods in the mods folder. I have never used Beta 1.7.3 OptiFine so can't say anything there. If not ask in the Glass Repo Discord or look around/test for yourself to see if it works with the Jar/Zip file.

Will there a way to run Liteloader(1.8.9+) with Legacy Fabric? But Fabric Loader will crash using LaunchWrapper now(#703)...
I haven't tested it with Liteloader (or know if it's possible to get the profiles of either working alongside each other for it to be possible especially not with how Liteloader/Forge worked with Liteloader using certain hooks) but as far as I know Fabric isn't compatible with other modloaders so I assume Legacy Fabric is the same. I know it isn't with Forge I think.
Some Liteloader mods have been ported though to Legacy Fabric however like Extended Hotbar for example.
Wiki: https://modwiki.miraheze.org/wiki/Legacy_Extended_Hotbar
Download: https://www.modrinth.com/mod/legacy-extended-hotbar
I'm no expert I just showcase things for people to see that is usually in the Discord/make wikis. I'm a wiki maker/news person basically I don't have that amount of Java knowledge compared to what the mod authors know (I barely know enough).
There isn't a Liteloader compatibility layer either to my knowledge like Fabricated Forge/Modloader that exists either (for 1.3.2 though other versions not compatible or something don't know the status of it as much).
I'd ask the authors on the Discord I'm not knowledgeable enough to answer a question like this.
You can ask via here: https://discord.com/invite/E9r9YkFrDK (I have to update the link on the first post because it's different)

I'm sure 1.8.9 mixin mod won't likely work on 1.8.0-1.8.3, but have a high chance working on 1.8.4-1.8.8(LiteLoader as example).
Sadly, any expanded hotbar mod won't work on paper servers. It will throw an error and tell u are cheating on console and could crash ur client.
And I think Liteloader could work if these notch-code mixins loaded before LF.

I present to you: my "simple starter mod" https://lbda.net/IXT.mp4 (It only uses 5 mixins)
Me describing it:
It's a 22 second video showcasing brightness levels, when at 100% it usually says bright right, but with the redstone torch button (as you can see in the image below of the options menu) to the right of the brightness slide it will be at 'fullbright' (if anyone has used one of those mods before).
I assume it will always be at the fullbright stage with the button active (not shown in the video, just my assumption) but if you move the slider down it goes to normal brightness but with the redstone button on but at max of the slider it will be always fullbright when at 100%.
You can check the link above or here: https://lbda.net/IXT.mp4 to see it for yourself.

Legacy Fabric showcases.
1.Showcase 1:
API God/BoogieMonster101 Quote: "OMG ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ ITEMS MODELS IN LEGACY FABRIC???? 🚓 🚓 🚔 THATS ILLEGAL 🚨 🚨 YOU CANT JUST FIX A TWO YEAR OLD BUG 🚨 😠 😡 🤬 THATS ILLEGAL ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ 🚔 🚔"
In short a 9 second video showing the Fabric icon but as an item entity. So item mods coming I guess now that item entities and the possibilities surrounding them are possible on Legacy Fabric now.
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/770951821095206930/1018847082376859678/item_models.mov
Side Note:
There is a mention of Tiny Potatoes too as an item model (I assume as a joke/maybe seriousness they are a meme like item/thing with Fabric I think) (in my opinion it isn't Fabric without Taters since they became a thing with the mod that started it in 1.14, a 1.4.7 Retro Taters mod for Forge and just Discord emotes of Taters/Tiny Potatoes.
To me they seem like a just mascot for Fabric, whether intentional or not as they are just an emote overblown and a meme so shrugs). So who knows how seriously that becomes a thing than just the Discord emotes of Taters in the many ways I've seen that are all out of this world. I forget when the last Tater mod was even, 1.6 something, I'm out of the loop on that.
Image 4: Anyone with no idea what I'm even talking about check the image at the bottom of the post. I went to my old Retro Tater video to capture the Lil Tater and Irritator (not the cooked lil taters that are sad).
Anyway moving on to the other two showcases.
2.Showcase 2:
U9G Quote: Chunk Animator ported to Legacy Fabric 1.8 https://lbda.net/7up.mp4
In short a 13 second video showing them flying in the air and the chunks moving upwards in I guess a picture book sort of way.
Anyone familiar with Chunk Animator on other modloaders will know of course and be excited I'm sure.
I have seen it before I think, but never knew what it was called/never used it before. But I do think it's pretty cool. I know it's a big Forge mod but just never used it before or modpacks that did. As rare as it is I assume.
3.Showcase 3:
For those that remember Surely Enough Items (a dead VoxelGet/Item Dash/Too Many Items like mod for earliest of 1.8.9 Legacy Fabric).
Or those just wanting a Too Many Items/Not Enough Items/Just Enough Items/Roughly Enough Items (whichever) on Legacy Fabric in general as there hasn't been once since then as SEI is outdated/abandoned for probably fair reasons situation.
I welcome this announcement as someone that can't live without an Item viewing/cheating/recipe/favouriting type mod. XD
HowardZHY Quote: "Too Many Items Legacy Fabric 1.8.9. BUT need to add files into .fabric\remappedJars\minecraft-1.8.9-0.14.9\client-intermediary.jar and needs an extra loader that provides access widener. Save things is not working properly"
My thoughts:
Not going to lie I'm excited for TMI and Item Entities. Chunk Animator is a surprise though and while I've never used it before (shockingly rare case I know) it is really cool to have on here (as much as I can say this in text form to get it across XD). Quite interested, even if showcases still cool to see these happen whatever versions (two of aiming for 1.8.9) come out on release.

Speaking of things to catch up on news wise (that I missed) with Cursed Fabric besides Legacy Fabric, the new website design for Cursed Fabric related things (documentation for mod authors, installers/mod dev kits, the discord, redirects for StationAPI/Cursed Legacy APi if you need them to get started or get updated builds).
I think it looks nice, doesn't bother my web page itch I have with many website generic websites or them being overdone so it gets the seal of approval there.
The old design will be linked at the bottom of the post for reference, comparison, nostalgia, whichever.
Now onto links just encase even if you can navigate the website, if you come back to here or want to access them right away because why not (and to make them match images too for some of them, for context).

But here is some links from the new redesigned home page:

I was struggling to find the link but went to the github and found it.

https://modwiki.miraheze.org/wiki/Iron_Chest_SL (Station API Beta 1.7.3, Rift 1.13, Forge/other modloader Beta 1.7.3 version before it was ported to StationAPI) Seemed no need to cover the later builds as most other wikis already have but most will not have the Rift or SL version so made sense to fill in that gap of information.
https://modwiki.miraheze.org/wiki/Extended_Hotbar
https://modwiki.miraheze.org/wiki/Legacy_Extended_Hotbar (the separate approach, I just realised I have to add a link between the two besides just the sentence pointing it out so I'll edit that now that both pages are done).
I may just make it, it's own page like I did with Legacy Extended Hotbar and have them separate or maybe like I said above combine the 2.
I am also going to of course post the current showcase stuff too below this. I'll edit this post with the wiki for TMI Legacy Fabric when I'm ready to.

The video shows them moving their camera and the screen changes or some key press. I really don't know yet what it's supposed to be it is just a blank no HUD, environment, hand anything. Watch the video it is better explained
