For those that don't know OptiFabric is a Fabric/OptiFine compatibility layer type mod. Meaning without OptiFabric you can't run OptiFine on Legacy Fabric in this case/so you can't put OptiFine straight into the mods folder without OptiFabric in the mods folder. So for those that want the performance mod many know but with Legacy Fabric environments now you can.

By mention of Modification Station would assume this is a StationAPI mod but this is only a showcase not final/clear what this is yet. Could be just Mod Devs experimenting for all we know. No clue if this is an admin/world host only thing either.

Either way it's a simple message so I won't look deep into it.

In short it's a 47 second video that seems to be showing some UI off for block/item IDs, the button is accessible from the top left of the player's inventory. The UI has List and Sort buttons along with the listings in the middle.

It can be filtered by List: All, Items, Blocks. In that order.

Or filtered by Sort: Name, ID, Damage, Hardness.

Apparently there is a customise button on the items/blocks too but it isn't shown. Not sure if it's intended that items/blocks values for these are customisable or instead some other purpose.

I made some screenshots as the video seems to only allow for download. It is only 4.1MB but not seen the Streamable video link to it which I know many Mod Devs do use that site when posting these sorts of things in Discord.

Description

A Legacy Fabric mod that backports elytras, fireworks, and all of their respective mechanics to 1.7 and 1.8.

There are two recipes for crafting the elytra:

With the goal in mind of making them a renewable end-game item. Elytras can be repaired using leather in an anvil.

Unfortunately, due to legacy fabric not supporting custom textures at the moment, the elytra uses a default texture. This may be fixed in a future update.

Because fireworks were added in 1.4, the mod simply adds the flying functionality to them. They can still be obtained in the usual way, crafted with gunpowder and paper.

Forum Update:

I haven't bothered to move any mod downloads (anything not 1.8.9 for the most part)/other starter stuff to the first post as I think the Mod HUBs to a better job/are more clean/clear to handle this sort of thing (viewing the downloads, consistency on that site and wikis/downloads) just works better I think.

This forum thread kind of serves as a news/update sort of thread with the somewhat beginner help. Kind of the way it turned out a least.

Legacy Fabric meme news, they posted it last year and again this year. The title and thumbnail is fake, it's just RickRolling. I could have timed it with April Fools but too lazy to wait until the day and don't care about it so don't mind spoiling it.

Would I wish for Storage Drawers on Legacy Fabric properly yes but is it going to happen besides the meme posting I don't think so. Just to prove how much these mod devs do have a bit of fun/"too much fun" in-between making mods.

There is a Legacy Fabric Version Usage form that was posted in the Legacy Fabric Discord today. Just use a Google account to sign in and just select the box saying what versions you want to see supported/use often. So if you want to let them know what you use/give feedback this is a way to do it.

The options are 1.3.2, 1.4.6, 1.5.2, 1.6.4, 1.7.2, 1.7.10, 1.8, 1.8.9, 1.9.4, 1.10.2, 1.11.2, 1.12.2 and 1.13.2 along with an 'other' option. It makes sense they can't support a lot or just want to see what deserves more focus whether updating Legacy Fabric's APIs, what mods to target whatever version among other things I assume, that and to know where to spend their time.

I have a screenshot of the results when I answered it so they may be different once others do.

I also used the 'Other' as a sort of 'what I want to see even if I use others more' sort of answer but you can put whatever you want like others have I guess for more info, not suggesting other versions like 1.1 or 1.2.5 as that's more Cursed Fabric's area of things apparently, I guess if you wanted as a request something else go for it (I assume as all the other versions supported are listed on the chart already and I have to compare to my HUB for all Legacy Fabric mods I am aware of that are released from the Discord) or joking as some have done.

I may post updated results every so often.

On a more serious note no news yet but I'm still working on Rift modloader wikis/mod archiving in the mean time. Not sure if I want to expand on modpacks for the versions of Legacy/Cursed builds that have updated. I'll think about it as not tested the current builds and how stable/compatible the mods are currently.

Otherwise I guess to post another lot of results for the Legacy Fabric form here is a screenshot of the 3rd/4th of April results now that it's a few days further out.
