I am trying to build a huge modpack for me and my friend to make videos on youtube and so I decided to upload it to TechnicLauncher, since people really wanted it. However the problem is, that it is really unstable and while I record, I can load a save and start over again, but I do not want people to experience crashes, mainly when Im spammed that it loads really long. I saw a mod called VanillaFix that will prevent the game from crashing, but unfortunetly it does not support 1.7.10, so I would like to ask, is there any mod, that blocks crashes like vanillafix does on 1.7.10? Please do not delete my post, I know it is not supported anymore (the 1.7.10), but there are many mods that were cancelled within releases of new versions. Please.
Hey Dude, The modpack loading time is based on the processing power of a processor, and a graphics card processing power. From the information provided, I can only guess that there are so many mods that some things you do can crash the game if not done right.
From what I searched it does not seem that anyone is interested in backporting a mod because 1.7.10 is about 5 years old. I can tell you that I've had experience having to wait 10-20 mins for a modpack to load and I just watch youtube while I wait.
If your modpack is unstable and crashes often, I believe you could put some effort to fixing it. When you put a ton of mod together, that are bound to have some conflicts, but most will not let the game load till you fix them. Having a look at the crashlog can tell you what mods are involved in the crashes, if not what little part of the mods are conflicting. Thats when i usually just do the try and retry method to work out whats wrong if I cant find it in the logs.
But to help you, and conclude, mods aren't made to be put together and are unstable. We as modpack makers try to weed out the mods that make the game crash at most while remaining true to the experience you intend. This is all people without the ability to work with code can do. I hope this helps, if it doesn't give you what you are looking for.
