You're probably thinking of Buildcraft and Galacticraft. To install mods though, you're going to need to install Minecraft Forge first. Forge is basically a mod loader which loads up your mods and prevents them from having conflicts with each other. Go to Forge's download page and download the Windows installer (if you're using Windows) for the version of Minecraft that you want to play. Once you've run the installer, download the mods that you want to use. Be sure that they're made for the same version of Minecraft that Forge is made for, or else your game will crash when you start it up.
Once Forge is installed and you have your mod files, search for the "%appdata%" folder (on Windows) and you'll see a ".minecraft" folder. Go into that folder and place the mod files that you downloaded inside of the "mods" folder in there. If there is no mods folder, you can create one yourself. Just be sure that it's named "mods" exactly.
Once that's done, you can start the Minecraft launcher. In your launcher profiles, you'll see a new Forge profile for the version of Minecraft that you selected. Start the game using that profile and it should start up just fine. If you have any troubles, you can create a new thread in the Support section and we can help you out.
1.12.2 versions and 1.13.2 versions of mods don't work together, even .1 or .2 don't work with each other it's that particular, they are all each separate. It is best to keep that in mind, unless it states the versions it supports that it can, then expect it to not work for those not listed as the intended supported version, so If it doesn't support 1.13/1.13.2 then it isn't compatible and you will have to install 1.12.2 of Vanilla and a 1.12.2 Forge version for it also or wait for the 1.13.2 version to be supported but that is a while away for mods like these I'd say.
Couple of questions:
Where do I start with installing mods? I have the Java version on my PC.
I'm looking for two particular mods which I cannot remember the names of. Been a long time since I played MC.
One was where you can build a large drill that drills in a square directly beneath it and allows you to sort mined materials into boxes through pipes.
And another one was where you could fly to the moon in a rocket.
Can anyone recall the names of these?

Thank you! 😊
Mm I can only find forge version 1.12 and I'm pretty sure I'm running MC 1.13. Will it still work?

I recommend using twitch to get mods. It is more simple.
