Minecraft newbe here. Just bought Minecraft 1.13.2, downloaded the lastest Forge, downloaded Titans mod into the .minecraft/.mods folder as advised (it's the only mod I have), launching though the Forge profile, the mod is not on the list. Downloaded from the 2nd server, and from another link foubd on CurseForge (so now I have 3 files in the .mod folder of the same mod, with different names), and it's still not on the list. Any thoughts?
I'm confused, you have 1.13.2, you downloaded Forge. Have a mods folder with .mods (which never is needed, .Minecraft is what people usually refer to for this).
Ok, Forge is only for 1.12.2 and below right NOW as of this comment/date. Rift is the 1.13/1.13.2 Modloader you are looking for if you choose to use Minecraft for 1.13/1.13.2 and want mods used alongside it.
If you want to learn anything about Rift try this thread I update often for anything to do with Rift Modloader, 1.13 and 1.13.2 mods updated or supported. Forge for 1.13 is coming but it's not publicly available yet. Never trust mod repost sites, clickbait youtube videos with '1.13 Forge' in the title from years or weeks ago unless the Forge official site clearly has a 1.13 download link which it doesn't right now (checked to make sure even, Forge for 1.13 is probably in the pre-release phase right now and not going to be available to the public until a few weeks or months from now, at a speculator guess).
Tutorials for installing Rift, and much more right here:
I even put the thread name with 'no 1.13 Forge yet' so state this, I'll remove that from the thread title once it releases to the public so I don't confuse people when it clearly would be available then.
If you want a 1.12.2 Forge to run the 'titans' mod then I'd recommend a 1.12.2 Forge tutorial about getting the Forge.jar from the correct site (the official Forge site), installing it correctly and then putting your mods in the mods folder.

The mods folder shouldn't have a dot in front of it. Try renaming your ".mods" folder to just "mods" without the period.

Thanks Geforce! I was wrong, I don't have a dot in front of the "mods" folder name (so it's ".minecraft/mods").
A few questions:
1. Did MC install correctly?
2. Did you make a vanilla world (no Forge or mods) to make sure everything is working?
3. Did Forge install correctly?
4. Did you make a world with just Forge first, no mods (Forge will create the mods folder)?
5. Does the MC version match the Forge version match the mod version?
