Ok, I have no clue at all what the problem is, I have no changed any configs, using the latest version of the mods, and even reset Forge profile, deleted configs and reinstalled TE mods and coremods and IC2, all at the latest version.
I don't know when it started to happen, but I went to pulverize iron and I got IC2 iron dust, and I have no way to craft pulverized iron to actually use in recipes as IC2 iron dust won't work.
I asked TE about it, they said I had some unification mod installed, which I do NOT have installed and that I had something configured correctly.
Note*: I don't see anything for any unification or anything at all relating to pulverizing stuff to get a different output.
I also asked on the IC2 bug report, got nothing back yet.
1.12.2 2768 Forge.
Sorry if this is in the wrong place for this question.
That implies that the recipes are not using the Forge Ore Dictionary (which I'm fairly sure IC2 registers its dusts to), or something is unexpectedly interfering with the recipes. If they were, you'd be able to use TF pulverized iron and IC2 iron dust interchangeably.
I notice you have several other CoFH mods and a few semi-unrelated mods, so first I suggest you see if this happens with literally the bare minimum of mods (IC2 plus TE and requirements - no NEI/JEI or Redstone Arsenal, etc. - creative mode might help). If it doesn't, you can do a binary search of your other mods to track down which one is interfering (i.e. re-enable half of them, and if it happens, you know it's one of the mods you enabled, otherwise it's one of the remaining mods, and you can iterate from there).
If it still happens with the bare minimum mods, you should mention that in the bugs you filed, and hopefully have a better chance of the mod developers looking into things to figure out what's going on, instead of assuming some other mod is causing it. In the meantime, you could consider adding a unification mod to force the output to be TF pulverized iron, and/or using CraftTweaker/ModTweaker to make sure oredict dustIron is usable in recipes instead of specifically requiring TF pulverized iron.
Edit: I did a little investigation of my own, and I think I figured out why the pulverizer is producing IC2 dust (see my comment on the bug). I have not investigated the part about IC2 iron dust being unusable in recipes.
