I've been looking into updating the modpack my server runs on from 1.4.7 to 1.7.10, and have managed to assemble a modpack that uses the same mods except for a few mods which have stopped being developed and now have replacements (Redpower 2 being the main one). However, I need to somehow maintain compatibility with the 1.4.7 world file.
I see that there is a Redpower microblocks to Forge Multipart microblocks MCEdit filter, but I'm struggling to figure out how to deal with other blocks changing block IDs. ExtraBiomesXL doesn't seem to have an option in its config file to set certain block IDs anymore, which now means that a lot of these block IDs no longer match. Does anyone know how to re-match these block IDs within Minecraft (maybe by adding block ID parameters in the config files?) or use something like an MCEdit filter for this? It's quite a large world file, so I also worry that any method finding and replacing blocks in the world file would take an extremely long time.
I know this is a long shot, but any ideas would be great. Thanks!
