I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I can't seem to figure out what I need to do to get certain spells working in Psi. I think it's some kinda quirk in the vector math. Like if I try to make a spell to cast a beneficial effect on the caster, no problem. But If I try to "Conjure Block" or "Conjure Light" at the block I'm looking at, I get errors. I keep getting the message "spell target is outside 32 block radius" and nothing happens. And yes, I'm using the tile that works against the surface you're looking at, not the one that works in the same space as the block you're looking at.
I tried googling, but all I can find is lists of other people's spells, and Vazkii's tutorial website, which is identical to the in-game tutorial for the first 3-ish levels.
Also, as a less tech-support and more game-tips kinda thing, how many spell programmers and spell drives should I keep around to avoid too much repeat programming? I was thinking, for example, a single spell drive for "put something in the world where I'm looking", and then, once it's in the programmer, I change just the part that determines what is placed, (conjure block, light source, place block, water source block, etc.) instead of a separate spell drive for every single spell I create. What about programmers? How many should I have out to avoid too much spell drive back-and-forth?
