Ive recently been running into this issue not only when trying to install optifine onto my single player minecraft installation, but whenever i try to start my server or try to run modded minecraft as well. I run it and when installing optfine it loads a little then it crashes and it leaves the error hs_err_pid#### (it doesnt have the actual # sign theres usually just 3-4 numbers after it, but as far as i can tell they all say the same thing) and with modded minecraft installations it usually gets about half way through loading and it crashes and leaves that same error. Server installation doesnt even start, it immediately crashes and leaves the same error. heres some examples of the crashes. Note:I have reinstalled everything and kept java up to date.
3. (Most Likely Candidate) Incompatible graphics drivers as posted here in the FAQ for this forum.

Alright so Im using 1.11.2 so that explains optifine, and I am currently using MSI Afterburner and Riva Tuner for graphics card overclocking and framrate limiting so I turned that off and everything magically started working again! Thanks for your help!

Generally this is caused by 3 things;
1. Not enough memory allocated to minecraft.
2. Corrupted or simply outdated Java
3. (Most Likely Candidate) Incompatible graphics drivers as posted here in the FAQ for this forum.

Seems to be a problem with the latest Win 10 update. Also software called Riva Tuner.
You also didn't state what version of MC your using. If its 1.11.2, Optifine has a bug. Don't use at this time.
