I was wondering what are the differences between IndustrialCraft and BuildCraft? I've heard that they work well together, but I have also heard they use two different power sources, or something about using IndustrialCraft to power BuildCraft. Anyways, the other question was, are the maker of BuildCraft or IndustrialCraft planning to make an update for 1.11.2? Cause that's what I got. Any help appreciated.
Here are some differences I've seen from playing the two mods:
BuildCraft focuses on pipes for item and fluid transportation, and is only available up to 1.8.9. There are plans to update it to 1.11.2, but according to the CurseForge page, that's expected to take more than a month.
IndustrialCraft adds several worldgen ores, ore processing, and electrical tools and armor, and is available up to 1.10.2. I haven't seen explicit mention of plans to update to 1.11.2 in the IC2 forums, but I presume there are some.
IndustrialCraft uses EU (Energy Units), while recent versions of BuildCraft use RF (Redstone Flux). Neither mod includes conversion facilities, but the Forestry mod includes an Electrical Engine for converting EU to RF, and there are a few other mods that allow that, depending on what version of Minecraft you're playing.

Oh, ok. Thank you
