I tried to install the too many items mod onto Minecraft using 1.8.9, a 1.8 too many items mod, and forge 1.8, although I also have optifine installed. Upon placing the mod into my mods folder, I thought everything was finished and installed, but when I started up Minecraft, it stated the default: 3 mods active. Unfortunately, my mod hadn't loaded! I don't understand why it didn't, seeing as I completed all of the correct installations and used the correct versions, and I even watched a few tutorials to make sure I wasn't missing anything, but nothing I have done worked. I tried to install optifine as a mod using forge as well, and that didn't load either? I'm not sure what I'm doing, any suggestions?
Now Minecraft won't load at all! I downloaded version 1.7.10 of TMI and Forge, and now when I try to open the game, it brings me back to the loading screen over and over again? Using optifine or my normal account works just fine, it's just Forge 1.7.10 that won't work
I know I installed forge correctly, and did try again, but nothing worked. I first edited the original profile to run on 1.7.10 forge, not 1.8.9 forge, but when it wouldn't work (it would reload from previous comment) I fixed everything I'd changed and used the new forge profile my laptop automatically added, and that one did the same! Upon fixing what I'd changed in the forge 1.8.9 profile, I tried to load that one, and it still worked, just no mods, so it's just 1.7.10 that won't work. Should I be using a .jar file for the mod? I feel like it should be a folder, not a .jar, but every time I try to download it from a different site for forge, it gives me a .jar. I'm going to try changing it around and stuff, but I feel like there's something missing.
scratch that neither version of forge works now, looked at the screen with all the coding it brings me to and found this? Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: cpw.mods.fml.relauncher.IFMLLoadingPlugin I know nothing when it comes to coding but this looked relevant?
I was using 1.7.10 Forge loader on my game? I know I was loading 1.7.10 with a 1.7.10 forge and a 1.7.10 mod, so I'm not sure why it would say that? Also, I'll look at a tutorial for DxDiag (from your signature) for macbook air in a bit, and I read over the list as well, and couldn't find anything I haven't already done.
