Hello! I am a mod developer looking for active projects to casually work on in my free time. I have many years of experience with modding and java in general, and I have developed 3 separate non-public mods. I code and model:
Cars/Bikes
Basic Items/Blocks
Trees & Generation
Ores & Generations
Crafting & Smelting
Proxies
GUIs
EntityBlocks (Somewhat), such as chests, jukeboxes
Mobs
I am also open to many new ideas. Even if you don't have an idea, if you are looking for a team or already have one, I can help you with your idea, or we can browse the mod ideas & requests forums for some (there are some good ones out there!). If you are interested in having me on board, send me a private message/group message with your team and add me to your github @abob78! Cheers!
it looks like my original reply was deleted on Curse. Very happy you responded!
My message basically said, if you had the patience to review Magic by Nathan Wolf from spigot, that would help greatly! I am looking for something almost exactly like that but with similar projectile effects like in Thaumcraft. And the ability to have custom spell icons like in Skyrim online and Diablo.
I am a full time designer and can handle that end with ease. I also dont expect this to be a private mod, so you can benefit from this.
If having the ability to have a config file that allows you to customize projectiles and what not is too difficult, then if we had as many Harry Potter spells as possible with spell casting effects/sounds, that would be perfect. If anything we can allow for custom spell names, that way it will be a great mod for anyone looking for wand lore and magic. I also have two servers one of which has Magic, if you dont have the ability to test a spigot plugin.
I recommend reading about the plugin, and skimming the source to get an idea on how it works.
Funny you say that, I'm actually working on a thaumcraft addon, so I know what that does. I understand what oyu mean by the custom spell icons etc. How do you want to work on this project?
