Hello. I have recently begun to experience a problem with my shaders mod where my hand, and anything I hold in it, becomes semi-transparent. No other threads have helped me thus far, and I would like to know if there is any way to fix it.This occurs both with and without Optifine enabled. I have a AMD Radeon R9 280X 7900 series graphics card, and it has the driver version of 15.200.1046.2. If there is anyway to help, please let me know
Great. Is there a fix? Because what I don't understand is why it decides to do this now. It was working fine for a couple of months, but all of a sudden it stops. I think it might have something to do with my driver version, however it won't let me roll back...
sorry I don't have a fix since i don't use shaders, I only found this out when I check to see if shaders will work with my computer and then chose not to... even though its so nice looking
I'm currently looking for bugs in my shaderpack. Would require some more informations:
Does it happen on any of my vibrant 1.08 shaderpacks? Link Removed
Are you running the shadermod for 1.8? Did you try running Optifine S6 for 1.8.8 yet? Link Removed
Are you using the latest AMD drivers, which is 15.7.1?
Also make sure to use the newest Java 8 Build, which is build 60. Delete any previous java versions.
I have the same issue regardless which shader pack or rescource pack I use, I think it's a bug with the GLSL shader mod brought on by a change in the Catalyst driver. You might want to make an official bug report with AMD, the more people that do the more likely it is to be addressed in the next update, considering Minecraft is one of the most played games on the planet, you never know, they might listen and do something about it.

Did that for the Intel driver bug on drivers newer then .4080. Took some weeks but they replied to me and said it's fixed in their newest drivers. AMD is not Intel but they might listen and check it if someone with this issue reports it.
The problem has been solved AMD has released a new update named "16.3.1 hotfix" that solves a big part of the problem, you can download it here: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download I recommend to update your Forge and OptifineHD version, i made a tutorial if you need it (Is in spanish but have subtitles in english as well) see you!

I don't know if you remember correctly but I believe the shaders mod doesn't like AMD graphics cards that much.

I might install the 14.9 driver instead of the 15.whatever I have and see if that works. If not, then i'll just restore.

I did everything you asked, and no it didn't fix it. It still happens on your shaderpacks as well...
That's an Ambient Occlusion, I've seen a similar issue in Skyrim, when using ENB presets that had it enabled. Maybe you want to disable AO for now.

I tried. No dice.
This recently happened to me. pretty sure its my AMD driver because I updated it to run SWBF demo and it only started doing this hand thing recently
If I remember correctly, it's an issue with AMD Catalyst 15.x. Roll back to 14.9 if possible.
Realistic Torches - Causes torches to burn out after a configurable amount of time.
Nature's Compass - A utility item that allows you to search for any biome's location in the world.
Notes - Provides a clientside in-game notepad.
Souls - After you die, a hostile Soul that stores your inventory will spawn.
Auto Refresh - Automatically refreshes your server list and alerts you when your selected server comes online.
Pick Block Plus - A clientside mod that significantly improves the vanilla pick block function.
And a few others that we don't talk about.
