I'm here to make a 1.7.10 list of the most laggest Minecraft mods out there right now! Of course I hope that someone else will do the same for 1.9, lets face it 1.8 for the biggest mods will not come out real soon.
My list? In no order of lag inducing rage
Mo' Creatures
Buildcraft (looking at you lovely quarry block)
Carpenter's Blocks (love those slopes, but....)
any chunk loader mods (depends on what is going on)
Myscraft (some worlds don't agree with computer or server...)
Carpenter's Blocks is the only one here that lags for me.

If I helped you in any way or agree in my ideas or posts, make sure you click that green arrow pointing up below my post or simply huggle me! I use 1.7.10 (Modded), so when I comment that I like a 1.8 mod, I will comment to downgrade to 1.7.10. I support no pics, no clicks. Suggestions that I think that are the best deserves a banner!
It is almost time to say goodbye to 1.7.10 because of the recent surge of big 1.9 mods.
Why MCreator sucks: jcm2606's file (doesn't open a new tab) He allows/welcomes anyone to link the file, so I put it here in my signature for people to know how MCreator functions. I thank jcm2606 (he's awesome) for creating the document/file and I'm just here to spread the word.
lol i wish.... i was just making a list of sorts so that people with average PCs know what mods causes the most lag so that they can trim down mod packs
Oh. I have like 80 mods installed and get 10-30 fps It's playable though Saw a dude on utube that spent a fortune and made his pc. He went on a 32 chunk render distance with seus shaders (the most extreme of all shaders). He got 100 fps xD Me with my intel graphics

I feel ya. I usually lag the most when I have 150+ mods installed.

Carpenters Blocks, Decocraft, BiblioCraft, and any of Reika's mods installed in a single pack just kills my computer. I can understand the building mods, but I am not sure why Reika's mods lag out my game.
Playing on the mod pack Project Flux (200+ mods) lots of mods give my computer, my crappy computer, to work. I usually find that Applied Energistics can cause some issues, one time Blood Magic crashed me, and that's all I can really think about, never had any issues with Carpenters Blocks.

There are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand binary and those that don't.

Never had Reikas mods lag my computer unless I did something incredibly stupid and op. Even Chromaticraft.
Huh, weird. It might just be my cpu. It acts up when certain programs are running and make it overheat. Some mods for do this too
Mystcraft and Swords++ (1.8) are the ones that lags my minecraft
