If anyone played with this mod or with TPPI (TestPackPleaseIgnore) which is a reddit community creation modpack, you will know that this should be the first goal. Personally, I had a survival world in TPPI[Has more ore generation] and really the 3rd day I played I had a reactor. You require Gravel, Coal, Steel, Yellorium, Iron and more. So I collected these items and I built one. The second I activated it, it went BAM. More than 400RF per tick. If you have some water or a bucket of redstone, you can get more than 1k RF per tick. Now I am on the 5th day and I do not have enough storage. If I deactivate the reactor I gain 500 RF/tick and I dont waste materials.
Mods to work with:
Thermal Expansion
Thermal Expansion has its own energy unit called RF. This mod can retrieve energy and store it with little resources to spend on the mod.
Industrial Craft <IC2>
Industrial Craft 2 or the popular name IC2 is a very technical mod to work with. It has its own energy unit, EU. The mod can assist you in future builds if you decide to branch out and leave big reactors for later.
Buildcraft
Ah, buildcraft. Buildcraft does not store energy but uses it very quickly for example quarrys. They mine a big hole in the ground for resources. Buildcraft will help you get Yellorium used to make energy.
What mods to make to assist this?
You should contact or configure a modpack to enable Big Reactors to use your kind of energy unit. Your mod should be an add-on to this and have a way to make yellorium but without copying others. Remember have energy storage!
