*If I've posted in the wrong section I'd like to apologize, this is my first post on this forum. I figured since it's a mod issue that Mods Discussion was the right area to post, but please correct me if I am wrong! :)*
So I made a private server for my friends and I to play on (we're running on a forge server and using tunngle for the ip, not really so sure if that information is needed or not?) We've gotten pretty far into building, and everything is looking pretty nice, until now... We agreed to get rid of one of our mods feeling it wasn't important to us since we rarely use it, and upon doing so, what seems to have happened is the block id's got switched around with our other mods, somehow? I'm not stupid or anything, but this is my first time hosting a server of my own so I'm not exactly savvy with how mods work, etc. Is there a way to fix this issue and if so please clue me in? I also might add, in case it's any help, since the mods have gotten, er, switcheroo'd, when I open and run the server, forge loads the mods, and then brings up the "/fml confirm or /fml cancel" thing. So, as you may have gathered, the only way to get the server to run is by of course, typing "/fml confirm" in the server command box. If there's any other information I can give you to help you help me fix this issue, let me know and I will be more than happy to give you the information you need! Thanks for taking the time to read this wall of text, and thanks in advance to any help or tips you can provide to me!
TLDR; I made a server, first timer here. Buildings etc, have been destroyed by block changes (block id's have been switched?) after the removal of a mod. I'm desperate to find a way to fix it, and in need of help! (I'm new to this whole server running and maintenance thing so if you could explain things in an easy to understand way that would be awesome!)
NOTE: I do have teamviewer, so if it's easier for you to help me that way rather than explaining, let me know!
Upon removing Mr. Crayfish's Furniture Mod, the objects that came with the mod were removed, but along side the the removal of said mod, my other mod's block ids seem to have gotten mixed up. Specifically, the Mega Plant Pack mod, where vines were hanging from trees or placed on sides of buildings, there is now bamboo blocks. Where flower pots were hanging from buildings there are now fences, and where a pretty landscape arrangement of certain flowers were placed, the flowers have become different colors and types. Certain plants have turned into blocks of water, thus random waterfalls are found throughout the server where the flower should have spawned. I think you get the point by now. ;P There's other blocks that have gotten switched around here and there as well. The only mod that's having the issue with the block switches is the Mega Plant Pack. However, I have placed new vines, bamboo, flowers, etc, to test it out and see if it places as what it should place, and it does. But to rebuild my servers city... well... it would take months. Im just hoping there's an easy fix, and if not, well, I guess let the reconstruction begin.
You could probably use some NBT editors to change the world save.
There should also be a backup (some zipped folder with a date) into the save folder, which you can revert to, if this "furniture mod" can be put back in.
Frankly, i would assume this "furniture mod" or the "Mega Plant mod" is breaking Forge somehow, since block id switch should not be possible. I switch a lot of mods back and forth in my modding development, and never experienced this.
