It seems that with my installation of forge, whenever I add mods, there's always an indefinitely long black screen upon startup. I say indefinite rather than infinite since it occasionally lets me through after a long while depending on the size of the mod folder, but can often take hours at a time to do. Meanwhile, Minecraft is eating up about 80% of my CPU.
I would figure that this is part of the extracting process for mods. I'm simply completely lost on how this 'extracting process' can last for hours at a time with mods under 5 megabytes in total size.
Any tips to help me speed along this process or increase efficiency, or am I stuck waiting it out for long periods at a time?
