Not entirely sure if I'm asking in the right place..

I googled a few things but I'm really not coming up with anything. Mind you, I'm pretty tired and out of it. If anyone has a list or knows of some mods that bring any of the new 1.8 features to 1.7.10 I would be grateful!

There are various reasons I wont be moving to 1.8, mostly surrounding running a modded MC server that also uses plugins. I would still really like to give my friends as many of the new features to play with as possible. ^^ At the same time, I don't want to have a ton of huge mods to load.

I know there are many mods out there that add similar things but they also add a ton of other things. I'm looking for mods that add in:

Blocks:
Diorite, Andesite, Granite, Polished Diorite, Polished Andesite, Polished Granite, Coarse Dirt, Red Sandstone, Prismarine, Prismarine Bricks, Dark Prismarine, Sea Lantern, Prismarine Crystals, Prismarine Shard, Wet Sponge, Slime Block
Items:
Rabbit's Foot, New Fences, New Gates, Iron Trapdoor, Armor Stand
Food:
Raw Rabbit, Cooked Rabbit, Rabbit Stew, Raw Mutton, Cooked Mutton
Potions:
Potion of Leaping
Enchantment:
Depth Strider
Mobs:
Endermites, Guardians, Elder Guardians, Rabbits

While I realize that the likelihood of finding mods that add in those specific things is slim, I'd still like to keep looking and anyone who has information is always appreciated.

I found one for you that adds the Diorite, Andesite, and Granite here , and I've added your doors link to my own server. If you found any of the others can you let me know? I'm mostly interested in the blocks, fences, and the like.

Gany's surface adds a few 1.8 features. You can disable other features in its config file

Craft ++ adds the Raw/Coocked mutton

Pointless? I disagree. A "straight out backport" would be great, because there are not nearly as many other good mods for 1.8 as 1.7. I'd love to see a 1.7.10 client mod that added all or most of the features of 1.8 so that I could continue to use the 11 other mods I'm running and still benefit from the features of the latest version, and everyone I've talked to lately who are using multiple mods only compatible with 1.7.10 have agreed.

A list of mods such as the couple mentioned here would be the next best thing but not quite as painless. Anyone have any more info on something like this?

I would prefer Chisel 2 if you JUST want your Andesite, Diorite and Granite. If you want it all, install Et Futurum, and disable the stones in Et Futurum's config if you have Chisel 2 installed still, or strange things may happens. Chisel 2 adds some nice chiselling features, so even if you want Et Futurum, I'd still recommend getting Chisel 2. Again, disable the stones in Et Futurum's config if you have Chisel 2 installed still

I guess you could open up your 1.8 version folder and copy its assets. then replace the assets folder in 1.7 with the assets folder from 1.8

As has been mentioned, Et Futurum adds nearly all those things, the only exceptions being the Guardians and Elder Guardian and the Depth Strider enchantment, due to technical constraints.

Absolutely everything else is added, the only minor caveat being that the slime blocks don't do their funky piston extending thing, also due to technical constraints There is however Back in Slime, which adds in its own piston (and slime block) to have this function.
