Greetings all who care to read, a new mod pack is coming and this is a request to see what all needs to be done before it is released publicly. First off, permissions need to be gathered before an actual public release, but is it ok to post links to it in the forums? These links are not ad-generated or related, they are merely from google drive or mega.co.nz. I plan to release both client-side and server-side related mods and eventually permissions will be gathered appropriately, but I (tried to not say the 'I' in this post) will not be making any money from this. This was a project that was born for the lulz and now seem to be somewhat desired by others.
TL;DR Is it ok to post links to a mod pack (Only config, mods, and flans Directories or folders) on this forum? Before I have all permissions, I would like some input on how to finish it up and polish it off, so this is the reason for asking if I can post links.
P.S. total client-side mods add up to 266 working mods, thus far so this mod pack is not for the weak computer.
Just a nobody trying to play Minecraft, but with as many mods as possible.
Dedicated server, CPU 4.0 GHz with 16GB RAM, solid state hard drive and 95/95 Mbps up and down Fiber Optics. Client system matches server specs, with 1.7.10 Minecraft and 305 mods currently in beta. I state this not as much to boast, but for it to be known that it's possible to run with a LOT of mods, even build your own server without renting. I have some experience, so ask me questions.

Thanks much, I understood about the permissions for sure and everything else said already. Google is being stingy with their amount of accesses to a file, so I think I will just go with MEGA instead. So if I get this straight, if I do not receive a mod author's permission, then I can still link to their page with my version of the configs for said mod? That would work anyways, but since mods frequently update I doubt I could keep up with the compatibility. I guess next question is if there is anyone who could help fix or guide me to fixing recipes. I'll do some research before I go making a new thread, thanks again for the reply.

Yes. Permission or not, mod authors could care less about configure files. But the mods themselves need permission, otherwise must be manually linked back and downloaded. Although most mod authors allow distribution if they recieve credit.

You may post anything but the bin folder if you have permission, meaning you can directly distribute the pack.
And yes, modpacks go in the mods section of the forums.
In any other case without permission, you can link to the individual mod pages and distribute configs freely.
