Does this mean there will be no more item id conflicts? I'm not 100% sure about the inner workings of everything but I know that stone is now "minecraft:stone". what I'm guessing is the "minecraft:" part refers to which mod the item came from and the "stone" is the name of the item.
does this mean that someone can make a mod called "more rocks!" and if they make an item called "stone" it will be "more_rocks:stone"?
Now that's what I call reflex. String Block/Item IDs were introduced in 1.7.2 last year.
But yes, pretty much everything you assume is true. Getting a block/item ID conflict is pretty unlikely. Two mods would have to have items with identical string IDs. It does happen ... I saw 2 or 3 in the last 6 months or so.
thanks for the info. What did you mean by reflex though?
